*** Tottenham Hotspur vs. Burnley FC OMT ***

This is another must-win game for us. We simply have to win this match to stay in touch with the teams above us. After all, we are now 13 points behind Chelsea. We cannot afford to go further behind. But we have yet to win back-to-back wins since beating ManCity in September. That was our 4th consecutive league win. Since then, our league form has been inconsistent. We need to go on a winning run to make up for the lost points during those time. We have an exccelent record against Burnley, wiining our last 5 matches against them in all competitions. Hope we will continue that record against them.

Kane and Lamela scored for us when we last beat Burnley in the league in 2015. But Kane has been poor in the last 2 matches. Hope he can get back his goal scoring boot in this match. It is disappointing we don't have anyone else who can score for us consistently. The likes of Son, Alli and Eriksen reallly should be scorig more goals. Wish Lamela is back for this match as he can help create goals for us.

Our midfield have been too inconsistent this season. Thought our midfield of Dier and Dembele were much better last season. This season, Wanyama has been too error-prone while Dembele too injury-prone. But Eriksen and Wanyama did score all the goals when we beat Hull. Despite this, Wanyama needs to improve his performances. Eriksen seems like getting back his best form as he has scored 5 goals in his last 4 league matches. But really wish he can score from freekicks for once ! Sissoko has been improving lately. So won't mind if Sissoko starts in place of Alli or Son who have been poor lately.

Our defence did well to keep the clean sheet against Hull. With due respect to Burnley, they have been shyte in away matches. They have a such a poor record in away matches, scoring only 1 goal in 7 matches this season. So Lloris, Vertonghen and Alderweireld should be looking to keep the clean sheet against them. Will be disappointed if we don't keep another clean sheet in this match.

We should be beating teams like Burnley at home if we want to stay in top 4 race. Just hope we won't get complacent and make use of all the chances we create. Anything other than a win will be unacceptable in this match.

Serious question? How many players score from free kicks??? The expectation that someone will score from a free kick is bizzarre IMO. I'd guess that less than 5% are scored from as opposed to 80% plus of penalties

True.

Just seen we are not playing till 28th, which is annoying :(

This is really stupid. We don't have a match for 11 days after playing Burnley. But then we will have 3 matches in 7 days after that, against Southampton(Dec 29), Watford(01/01) and Chelsea(05/01). Why didn't we object to this and force them to change the match schedules ? Long breaks always cause us lose form and we will be very tired by the time we play Chelsea.

Any t#e#a#m n#e#w#s yet ?

Wish Janssen and Lamera are fit for this match. We really need more options in attack now, even against weak teams like Burnley. Let's hope Kane will find back his goal scoring form in this match. Hope we will be more clinical and ruthless against Burnley and get a comfortable win.

Couldn't avoid the pile up over Christmas so why not have a mini break now??

It's great sense for the team actually but rubbish for us fans as it's a long wait

There should be something in place that means everyone has to have played by the 27th Dec - other wise we have a run of games.

We wouldn't be expected to play UEFA cup game on a Thursday then on a Sat - which is pretty much what we are doing.

Those two games before the Chelsea game are tough games as well,so it's not like we can even rest players.

Saying that Lamela being back will lift some of the tiredness.

If there was any plus of not having Kane earlier, it means he should be well rested

We are playing 3 in 7
Liverpool are playing 3 in 6
Sure there are others worse than ours too
