*** Tottenham Hotspur v Rennes *** *POSTPONED*

If Waste Ham co-operated with us re;' the Carbunkle Cup match on Dec. 22 - move to an early Jan midweek date - we'd be all set to play Rennes.

But fat fcukin' chance those lazy greaseballs would do anything to assist us. So let's just assume the Rennes match is forfeit.

We end European play ahead of Arsenal on UEFA's co-efficient rankings. Result already. We're in decent shape to make a top four-six placing and play in Europe again next season, boosting our co-efficient once again.

Take that outcome, free up our fixture options for make-up games in the PL and move the fcuk on. Never mind all the future possibilities. Just deal with creating the best possible circumstances for the next game. And the next one after that.

Rennes have a league match on 22 December, the last one before their winter break. So either they couldn't, or wouldn't, look to move that.
I'm not sure there's any evidence atm that West Ham have been involved in these discussions.

With regards the co-eff isnt it kind of irrelevant we are above arsenal at the moment?

The co-eff’s are only really of importance when the new CL format begins, which is when the co-eff’s can give extra CL places and by the time that comes around 17/18 and 18/19 points will drop off as co-eff’s are based on last 5 years I believe.

So by the time the new CL format begins its anyones guess what are co-eff will look like and certainly being above arsenal today seems very much a moot point.

If we get turfed out, at least in 15 years we'll still be able to hark back to that time when we were robbed of European (3rd rate) glory by Uefa/COVID/Gordon Kaye. Another for the Lasagne File. In fact, have we checked CCTV for signs of David Dein lurking around Spurs Lodge?

Gorden Kaye - he needs his name mi-spelled like a hole in the head

So we will still be in the draw today as a seeded team by the sounds of it, until the UEFA committee come to a decision.

Tottenham are set to be involved in Monday's Europa Conference League play-off round draw - even though it is not certain whether they will actually be involved in the competition any more.
Uefa's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary body has been given the responsibility of finding a resolution to Spurs’ postponed game against Rennes, after an alternative date could not be found.
Spurs announced on Wednesday that the group match could not take place following 13 coronavirus cases at the club.

There is little chance of them reaching a decision before the draw at 13:00 GMT, which means Tottenham and Vitesse will go into it as a seeded team, with Celtic among their potential opponents.
It is still not entirely out of the question Tottenham’s game could be rearranged, although there is also a possibility that both Spurs and Rennes could forfeit the match.
If Tottenham do that, they will be out of the competition. If Rennes forfeit, Spurs would go through on goal difference at Vitesse’s expense.

How often do we think UEFA's Discipline, ethics and pretending to be bothered by racism committee actually meets? You'd have thought this needed to be prioritised to have taken place this morning?
