Looking at the images as the Paxton gets ripped to bits sometimes feels like I am getting punched in the stomach. Definitely a tinge of sadness, but as Bill the Battler said 'You can't stop progress'

None of it bothers me tbh - WHL ceased to be the moment I walked out of it after the United game. Now it's just something in the way of the new stadium


Though when the east stand comes down I may feel differently

I think it makes a big difference having the new stadium right there. The demolish of the Paxton is opening up better views of the new stadium. There is a clear and obvious progression from new to old. It would have been even better if the original plan of playing in the incomplete stadium had still being possible with the new plans.

The slow demolition of Upton Park must be much harder to take for West Ham fans.

As much as I am sad that WHL is being torn down, it will still be white hart lane. If we were moving to Stratford it would be completely different but we aren't actually moving really. We are just getting a nice new shiny big fcuk off house in place of our old bungalow.

you're on to something there. the new stadium has been growing in stature for months. the scale is just unbelievable, even though its incomplete. it feels more like a rebuild to me, not just a teardown.

Bingo, as you say its sad in its way but it is still on the same ground, my trip there will follow the same route, i will still eat at the same place, drink were i usually do.
