The Official 2023/24 Premier League Thread

Think it was for 2 yellows for continuous dissent, In all fairness I am all for that, too much mouthing off at the ref, perhaps if a few more yellows got flashed for continuous complaining it might stop it
It was his throw but it was a silly reaction. That said, I’d feel aggrieved if I was him. Not because it wasn’t two yellows but because you don’t see yellows given for that brick very often when they should be.

Terrible game of football. The young lad in midfield for United looks decent but I wouldn’t give Amrabat a game in League 2.

If it was something consistently applied then maybe. The issue is, it’ll happen in another game next week and it won’t even get a yellow. To do it out of the blue like that was insane. If it had happened to one of our players this place would be in meltdown.

Zinchenko was constantly yelling at the ref today, and approached him several times and waved his finger in the refs face. Nothing.

Is this right?
We have had more red cards this season already, than all of last season?

We could end on 70+ red cards if it continues like this

I would be in favour too were that sort of thing seen and applied regularly, but it seemed Dalot quickly said two things. They was no roaring in the face of the ref or sustained shouting abuse. Certainly nothing over and above the sort of behaviour you see many players only getting a yellow for. If that.

More yellows have been given for dissent this season , than any other, he was stupid. Players have been warned about dissent.

To be fair Nunez got away with the classic sarcasm applause after his first yellow in the first half, he could really have got three bookings in that
sequence (tackle, kicking ball after signal, sarcasm) but only got 1
