The Official 2020/21 Premier League Thread

No he’s means the margin of error vs the gap between players
The margin of error is the distance a player can move between frames. For a normal player that’s 13cms so 4 inches
They judge the gap to the mm almost so they can be way way out proportionally
And linos apparently were right over 98% of the time with VAR
But....
They have been consistent with the application so each team in theory gets treated the same. Surely that’s a big part of any use of rules, the consistency
What could be done, is to use 3 frames, 1 before and 1 after the frame where the ball appears to be played, and then use the average position of players from those frames to set the lines.
It's perfectly doable from a technical perspective, and it would be more fair.

Even copying the Eridivise system of simply having thicker lines to account for the margin of error would seem a sensible upgrade on current VARce.

Leeds were better team first half, but Leicester going to back 3 to counter that.

Soyuncu can’t get into Leicester’s team this season which is incredible considering how good he was last season. Would walk into our team at CB, would love us to get him but obviously not going to happen....

It appears nobody wants to challenge City this season. The way everybody else is dropping points, they could end up winning the league before May

Its utterly remarkable given how brick we've been this season that if we win our games in hand, we'd be level with Leicester and 2 points behind Man U

Maybe it’s because statistically we haven’t been shot
We have been better than last season by a small way

Leicester without Vardy - 1 point out of 6. Two away games next - only Fulham and Wolves but without Steptoe to punt it to, now look like real banana skins
