The General Transfer Rumours and Speculation Thread

Is 28 over the hill already? I thought that was a player's prime.

25 seems to be the new prime. For the high-tempo pressing game that currently seems to be trumping the highly paid assembles of galacticos (see the rise of Seville, Dortmund and us) anyway.

I think it's to do with malleability, hunger and fearlessness too, not just energy.

Also, this current squad will achieve more this season than any Spurs side has since 1989-91. That's experience a plenty. Better that than players with a decade of mediocrity under their belt.

Maleability is probably it. But a 28 year old that already has that ethos, is probably still a good buy.

Christian Cueva has been one of the few Peruvian players to the applause of the Peruvian supporters won in recent games of the qualifiers Russia 2018 .

Product of that delivery shown on the court, the Tottenham of England would have piqued your interest in the game of Peruvian playing in Toluca.

There are even rumors that English box, and is in talks with Toluca and have asked for the price of Peruvian player pass.

It would be handling the possibility to sell for 20 million euros, a figure that would break a record in Peruvian football.

Even agents Spurs etarían present in the party that would keep today 'blanquirroja' against 'charruas'

Ajax has made known his wish to pay five million euros for Sébastien Haller. FC Utrecht managed to instantly know which amount does not take it seriously, but the game is thus well on the car.

FC Utrecht requires at least eight million Haller. In January Norwich City willing to put 8.5 million on the table and the Frenchman since only gotten better in the eyes of the Domstedelingen. On the intended Offer Ajax did the club then think seriously for a second, knows Voetbal International.

There is in any case in Utrecht FC absence of rush with regard to the selling of Haller. The Patinkle lies so well in the market which Utrecht can afford to wait for other clubs. Thus, in particular, of Tottenham Hotspur expect a high bid. In addition, Bayer Leverkusen, Schalke 04, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Internazionale also expressed interest.

The 21-year-old Haller, this season good for sixteen goals in the Premier League and five in the KNVB Cup tournament, itself has a clear preference for a transfer to Ajax, although he Tottenham also find a beautiful club. The expectation is that the current leader of the Netherlands still comes with a new bid. After all, where Haller wants to Ajax, Utrecht preys on the highest possible transfer fee.

Sebastien Haller, French striker. Twenty years, bomber of 190 cm in size, is a 1994 class with a French passport grew up in the 'Auxerre and then exploded in the' Utrecht: costs about 10 million and also like in Premier League atTottenham on all. The Nerazzurri observers have followed him during this season, in which he made 16 goals in 27 appearances. Calciomercato.com contacted exclusively his agent, Loic GUSTAN. Here are his words:

It 's true that Inter wants Haller for next season? There is also the Tottenham?

"Thanks for your attention, but right now I prefer that Sebastien is focused on the playing field and continue to score many goals. Then at the end of year you will see, definitely its excellent performance is attracting the interest of many."

Between Inter and Tottenham which destination would you prefer?

"He has no preferences, with his profile is able to play in any league, Serie A or the Premier League."

But for his style of play and the kind of life, what would be better? He likes to Inter?

"Inter are an important club and famous, everyone wants to play."

One last question: Mancini would be the right coach?E 'was viewed by the Inter scout?

"Not only those of Inter."

Mahmoud Dahoud: The Pochettino-targeted starlet who could become a complete midfielder

Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl stated in February: "Dahoud is not for sale. We are a hungry club, and we need every good player." The contract he signed until 2018 has no release clause, but a very significant offer might change Eberl's mind.

Tottenham's bid reportedly includes a clause that would see Dahoud loaned back to the German club next season, while Bild have reported that Guardiola is considering taking the prodigy to Emirates Marketing Project next season.

Spurs scout Drissa Diallo has requested two tickets for the Rapid Wien vs RB Salzburg game on the weekend. Arsenal are also going to be there. Probably looking at Salzburg's Naby Keita (young holding midfielder) I'd guess.

Jeez...do you have phones bugged?!? How on earth do you get that sort of precise info?

I don't think you can assign an age and state that it is a player's prime. It will be different for every single player and depend upon many factors. It will depend on what age they finally finish developing physically (some players have fully developed at 18 or 19, others don't do so until they are 23 or 24), what their injury record has been, at what point they made their debut and how many games they played during the early years, who has coached them throughout their career, how hard they are prepared to work on the training pitch, what players they have played/trained alongside and how much experience they have gained.

Look at Xavi or Iniesta as examples - at what age were these two at their peak? What about Ibrahimovic? Or closer to home what about Dembele? He is now 28 and I would argue that he is now just approaching his peak as a player.

It is much better to look at how a player performs instead of concentrating on their age.

Pretty much. It's pretty short-sighted to judge players on their age, when even Poch's managerial idol, Bielsa (who got his start by coaching Poch and a bunch of other kids with a few older lads mixed in to the title in Argentina) had no problem with integrating older players into his crazy pressing game throughout his career.

It's also just...completely arbitrary: if 25 is the new 'prime' age, then what was Toby when we bought him, past his prime? Old and fit for the scrapheap? Because of him being 26?

If we went out and bought Radja Nainggolan, who's 27 now, is that something that shouldn't be done? Nainggolan is an absolute monster, with limitless energy, stamina and raw power, hustling up and down all game, throwing himself into challenges and typifying the modern midfield general: but no, he's too old, without the 'malleability, hunger and fearlessness' that players apparently possess at young ages but lose at the magical 25-27 mark for some unknown reason.

Either a player's got the attributes we look for (willing to adapt, fearless, fit, technically skilled, strong, limitless stamina, a good personality...it's a long list) or he doesn't. If he does, his age isn't important except when Danny's the decision-maker, in terms of the immediate and future value of the player relative to the fee we'll pay for him.

Anwar El Ghazi is the latest name linked with us. RWF who plays at Ajax, a decent dribbler with an eye for goal who would likely challenge Lamela. He looks like the type of player we wanted Townsend to turn into, able to go outside or inside, plays with his head up and can score goals. He turns 21 this May so he's going to need time to develop. Even if we get UCL, it looks as though we are going to continue with the same recruitment system that got us where we are.

Who? Where? What?

El Ghazi was the new CR7 at one point. Why is he being linked with us?

I can see the headlines now.

El Khazi flushes his career down the toilet, dancing on cars, fighting a bouncer and snorting coke off a refugee
