The case for the defence

Inter still needs money for sure, but they dont sell cheap and we need to act fast as they probably wont let to many players go. With Juve our only chance is if they think they can do better with the money. Should have went for De Ligt instead of Kulu and Bentancur, Vlahovic signing made a whole în their pocket which we filled.
We didn't fill it. Vlahovic cost almost £75m, Bentancur £17m and £9m loan fee for Kulu.

Vlahovic transfer fee was £63m according to many sources. Bentancur will be £21m bonuses included, Kulu will be £38m if we decide to take him. That's £59m to £63m. Juve offload salaries of £10m, Vlahovic gets paid £6m. Of course there agent fees and so on, but all în all lets just call it almost equal.

If we decide to take him. If we do payments won't start for 18 months.

Arsenal were after kulu and arthur. Juve just refinanced with €500m from goldman sachs. So if we hadn't gone in for kulu znd lolo it would have made no difference. They also bought zakaria.

Zakaria was basically almost free, but I see your point. De Ligt has just 2 years of contract left, Raiola said he is prepared for a new adventure. Things arent so rosy with him and Juve. They might have to sell at a loss.

They might but he'll still be expensive.

It all depends on how much funds levy makes available. Without cl i doubt he'd come though.

We are not signing players who currently proven in the CL without being in it
Doenst mean we can’t sign players capable of playing at that level of course

Chuck in the agents fee for Vlahovic and the fact they had to pay cash on that deal to get him

Remember they are saving around £4m/year because of the salaries difference so it balances overall. So all things considered, we payed for their Vlahovic deal with these 2 signings.

They not paying him? I mean you showing a nett figure for Dusan but a gross figure for the £10m
I think your trying to juggle the maths to fit here
Not sure how our deal to buy one player for £15.8M balances out the £64M to buy Vlahovic and the £14m agents fee?

You think the salaries of our two signings are much more than their new star striker for whom - it's been made pretty clear - there are some very money conscious agents working?

I think hr may be referring to Ramsey leaving too
Which is a lona of course
And there is zakarias wages too to add

Not trying to juggle anything. Concerning the salaries they were googled and checked from 2 sources. They might be right or not.
As for the transfer fee, I think we signed the 2 players thinking they will be in our long term plans, especially as they are young. You sign them with the idea they will be successful transfers, don't you? IF so they would cost us and provide Juve 59m. If what many sources say is true, then over the next 5 years, Juve would gain from that salary difference(Bet + Kulu VS Vlah) 20m. So total Juve gain would be 79m. If Vlahovic cost 63m, like many sources say and his agent cost is 14m( like you say) then the overall Juve loss on Vlah is 77m.
So 79-77=2mil plus for Juve if Kulu stays here and Bentancur reaches his bonuses. All in all even if this calculation isn't correct, its not far off. So in the best case scenario for us, where both our Juve players confirm as good signings, we paid for the Vlahovic to Juve transfer.

Simple maths here then
Dusan fee £64m
Agents fee £14m
Wages gross €63m (they quote nett figures In Italy so you have to add tax on and he wanted £250k a week) so roughly £55m
So total of £133m with half paid up front

We have agreed to pay £14m for Bentacur and an £8.3m loan fee for Dejan spread over two season
Plus potential extras if we meet criteria like champions league (more income) of upto £29 more
So that’s roughly £51.3m payable over the next 5 years or £10m a year
And their wages are reported to be £80k a week or more (Bentacur) and a domaine figure for Kulevski is reasonable
But let’s call it £100k a week… that’s gross over here so that’s roughly £10m a season for the pair
So for round numbers we will spend £100m assuming we do really well. That’s over 5 years from 2 young players.

So again… how have we paid for the transfer?
Remember their paying the fee upfront (the chairman was clear on that publicly)
And we’re paying… best case £10m a year to Juve

What is your point? He didn't want to come to us, he wanted to go to juve. Juve have got €500m from goldman sachs so can easily afford him.

Would you rather we bought nobody in the window and he go to juve anyway?

Juventus released the actual figures for our our buys
And again… your not using the accurate wages .. your quoting the nett figure rather than the gross figure which is how their paid in Italy. They quote in transfers the money the player sees as the club pays the tax on top. It’s why when arsenal signed a certain Russian player he couldn’t believe his wages were taxed so much as he thought it was a nett figure (unless he is getting the new tax breaks for overseas players)
And again you seem to think we’re paying juve all that money… we’re not unless we win things and get CL and of course it’s over 5 years … that again is publicly available

and I’ve just checked ally golds post on football London and the max we pay juve is £49M
It seems lots of people have added the loan fee to the final transfer fee which isn’t how the deal was done… it’s a loan fee with an obligation to buy if we make the CL

The point is simple, we are buying big teams garbage and help them finance buying better players while they laugh at us. A team will never be bigger than us if they buy our Tanganga, Winks, Doherty etc.
We buy average players to finance their transfers which widen the gap between us. Spurs going for that Diaz guy was the only time in that transfer window we showed some character. Best player in Portugal, wanted by Liverpool in the summer, we went blitz after him. Didn't get him but we showed balls, not buying second hand players than others want to get rid off.
"But you don't know, maybe a Juve reserve might play good here". Yes they might, but take a look at the top teams, which is our goal of becoming. They don't buy reserve players from other teams, they buy the best player from a team. Doesn't always pay off, but the odds are it will.

like Ndombele and LoCelso? It’s never that simple

Conte and paratici know the players far better than you or i do. They both wanted them.

Kulu we haven't bought, he's on loan. Bentancur has 3 serie a titles. Sarri when asked if he was important said no he's not important, he's essential.

Maybe give them a chance before deciding they're brick. You are meant to be a supporter after all.
