The Blue & Yellow ITK Bonanza Thread

If I might just labour the point for a little bit longer... ;-)

Paulinho < Huddlestone
Soldado < Gallas
Chadli < Parker
Capoue < Dempsey

Lamela < Bentley
Chiriches < Caulker
Eriksen < Gomes

Based on those players alone, our wage bill is neutral (or, more likely, a bit lower).

And THEN we reduce our bill further by selling our two top earners, Bale and Adebayor (at least one of whom is almost certainly out the door; possibly both).

Combined, those two can pay Rooney's salary (as if!) and still not increase our wage bill from last season. Hard to believe, but we could still bring in a mega-star and have a cost-neutral summer in terms of wages. Or we could stick with what we've already got and enter the season with a better squad with lower running costs.

[Update 378] The Goat on incomings

It's looking likely that they'll be several more signings on top of Lamela/Vlad. There are a lot of names being bandied about, Vadillo, Pastore and Greizman have all been mentioned as being targets.

This would be the icing on the cake for me. One of the top three attacking left backs in the world in my view.

We would only buy him if we could offload Benny, which we can't, and Coentrao didn't want to take a step down to come to little Spurs.

Who: marcspurs
Where: SO
When: August 29th

3 more overseas players could be replaced...
Gomes, BAE and Adebayor...

Jordan Archer could be 3rd choice keeper
Coentrao could be left back
Chicharito could be the striker

Not saying that will happen, but it could...

Marcspurs still needs to explain how Lamela's work permit application is getting on....
