That exactly won't happen. After a cup final the winning side celebrates their trophy while the supporters of the losing side are already on their way home. This is pretty ideal for the Met as well as TfL.
After a semi-final, however, there is no trophy to be celebrated. So, the entire 90'000 will leave the ground at once. And in the dark this time.

I'll make sure that I don't goad any Chelsea fans after the game in case I get locked up for a year and a half!
I suspect that the fans of the team that wins will stay in the stadium for a while longer than those of the losing team. Certainly, after the semi final against Pompey two years ago, there weren't many Pompey fans around as I was queuing for the train to Marylebone.

Unsurprisingly, Chelsea are having a whinge about the KO time. Not because 18:00 on a Sunday is a bizarre time for a footie match in this country to kick-off, oh no. Just for the self-serving reason of (potentially) having an Champions League semi-final to play in. Yeah, well, I bet if the boot was on the other foot they wouldn't be bloody complaining! fudge 'em.
Of course they wouldn't. Nothing less than double standards on their part.
When we played Sevilla on a Thursday night in the UEFA Cup quarter final five years ago, we were due to play Chelsea in a Saturday lunch time kick off Premier League game - little more than 24 hours after arriving back in London in the early hours of Friday morning.
Quite reasonably, we asked Chelsea for their agreement to postpone the game until the following day.
They refused.
So they will get no sympathy from Spurs. Nor do they deserve it.
Besides, three days is ample. And they haven't even qualified for the Champions League semi final yet.

Because that was way too sensible and would have meant the FA using some common sense. Both clubs could have still had 31k tickets and 14k to corporate, if need be. In fact as it wouldnt have been Wembley less need, so both clubs could have had more tickets maybe.
We could have played ours at say 4pm on the Saturday at Wembley, or if any complaints from Liverpool, at Emirates even (Arsenal dont play until Monday night)
