We have one actual wing back. He is now injured. I don’t doubt it will work well when we acquire some flying wing backs in the summer.

But why does Conte persist with this system when it is clear and has been for sometime that we don’t have the personnel for this right now? For an elite manage he should be able to switch it up when needs must…..

The only thing I can think of is that he's committed to the 3-4-3 regardless and wants the team to learn it this season, whatever the results. But half these dozers are going to be gone next season whatever happens. If a miracle happens and we make CL, they're gone for being crap - Emerson et al. If we don't make CL, the better ones will be gone.

So what's the point in persisting with this? Half the players will have to relearn it next season anyway.
