Pre Season 2013

Seems like we are to play FC Porto away in early august.

Google translate:

André Villas Boas back to Dragon
The play date is not yet set, but the return of Andre Villas Boas to Dragon next season is already a certainty. gifted The former FC Porto coach, now in high prominence in Tottenham, is back to the house where he won tremendous success for a friendly meeting sponsored by AF Porto and integrated into the vast program of the centenary of the association led by charismatic Lawrence Pinto. , in principle, FC Porto, Tottenham will be held in early August and will surely be one of the main points of interest for Dragons fans at the start of season 2013/14.Apart from the exciting return of André Villas, FC Porto, Tottenham also assumes a very significant social importance, since the income of the meeting will be directed to charities in the region of the Great Porto. centenary The Port of AF has been cause for celebration rich and extensive and one of the highlights of the festivities is scheduled for next Monday, with a Gala at Oporto Coliseum. André Villas Boas has confirmed attendance at the event, as well as the current coach Vítor Pereira dragons, but other figures that were projected in the institution and contributed to the success she achieved will also be at the ceremony

The Club will return to Hong Kong to play in the 2013 Barclays Asia Trophy, which takes place from July 24-27 at the Hong Kong National Stadium.

Now we return to Hong Kong and in addition to facing Barclays Premier League opposition in Emirates Marketing Project and Sunderland, the 2013 tournament provides us with an opportunity to compete alongside South China FC, who we've enjoyed a successful partnership with since 2009.

AVB vs Pelligrini :)

who's going?

Real Madrid was rumoured to be the final game at WHL before season kick off, but they are in USA first half of august (game on 11th, travel home 12th)
They are looking for opponent in Turkey for july 24th, but we're in Hong Kong then.
So guess we won't get the opportunity this year.

Schalke away at some point also i have heard

Hope that happens.

Hopefully will have more chance of getting tickets for that one as it's near impossible for Schalke's league games.

If it's a free game for Schalke's season ticketholders, then I'm f**ked though

Schalke away at some point also i have heard

Or wonder if they maybe our annual home friendly opponents on the 10th/11th August. Now you've posted it I do seem to remember reading something about a game with them as part of the Holtby deal

Pre-season fixture: a Spurs XI will take on MK Dons in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday July 31. Kick-off at StadiumMK will be at 7.30pm

Tottenham Hotspur Vs RCD Espanyol - 5.30pm 10th August 2013. The Spanish La Liga side will provide the opposition in a friendly at White Hart Lane

Cambridge City FC v Tottenham Hotspur XI - Wednesday 7 August 2013 - 7.45pm KO

Not the most glamorous opponents we could have chosen, but come August we'll be itching to get back to the Lane and better than no home friendly like last season.
9 weeks and counting....

So, ManCity are the only confirmed big team we will be facing in pre-season so far ? Not sure why we seldom play big teams in pre-season. There is nothing to learn or prove against minor teams like MK Dons or Cambridge, win or lose.

Another crap pre-season friendly at the lane...

Agreed. Espanyol finished 13th in La Liga which means their strength is equal to a League.1 or 2 team in England. We always have problem turning up against shyte teams in Cup competitions. Just imagine if it is a friendly match !

Also get a glamour team in for that weekend and your guaranteed an almost full house and probably some revenue from it being shown on tv too
