OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur Vs Dnipro

Our medical and fitness dept strike again!

I was surprised that you didn't respond to my post in the Lamela thread that last time that you said this

According to the Physio Room we were exactly in the middle when it comes to games lost to injury last season in the PL

http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/2012_13/injury_analysis.php

Reading back over it, I should have said days lost rather than games but the point remains unchanged that our injuries are pretty much exactly what you would expect.

Sigurdsson needs minutes

On the training pitch, mostly. Mr Average. The Icelandic Jermaine Jenas, although JJ didn't have such an affinity for shooting needlessly and brutally assaulting the crossbar and goalposts at any given moment.

So we have Lloris,Kaboul,Walker,Adebayor and Lennon with niggles.
Sandro,Lamela and Rose out injured
Demble possibly out too, havent heard any updates on him since the Toon match.
9 absentees, ffs

Its like a revolving door, everytime we get close to a fully-fit squad soembody else picks up a niggle or has a setback

Lloris, Kaboul, Walker, Ade, Lennon = all pretty much first names on the team sheet for Norwich, all have niggles? please ... never been a more obvious "rested"

Siggy > Chadli > Townsend > Lamela

Must say Cup matches under AVB, especially in Europe, was more exciting to watch as he took every match seriously. Not so sure about Sherwood as he is a typical English coach. Just can't see Sherwood taking this match seriously. Just hope the players will be more ambitious and lift their game to beat them and progress to the next round.

Did you not see Sherwood's presss conference then, I'd also say the fact that he hasnt left many behind shows were taking it seriously

I really respect the fact AVB gave the Europa league a good go, I expect my team to go for whatever competition they are in, not act all big time after 1 year in the CL.
However, gotta disagree with the excitement level of our victories over pub-standard this season.

Will my avatar change?

Just can't see Sherwood going all-out to win the EC. Why would he when Levy has only asked him to get into top 4. I am sure Sherwood will be mindful of the fact Europa League was the main reason AVB got sacked. Most of our league loses under AVB came after EC matches. Let's see what Sherwood is made of.

Harry Kane, Kenneth McEvoy, Milos Veljkovic and Josh Onomah were all spotted training with Spurs in the Ukraine.

Any official team news yet ?

Used to write long previews for our matches. But just can't seem to motivate myself since Sherwood took over. Hope we will turn up with the right mentality, beat them over 2 legs and progress to the next round.

any updates?

ABC has breaking news that truce is on the verge of collapsing

Hope everybody who travelled are staying safe

These headline stats in and of themselves are pretty meaningless. They don't go into any underlying detail, give any reason why players were out for longer than expected or should be ( which is my point). Kaboul was missing for the second longest time and Sandro cant be far behind. In any event, these stats relate to kst season.

This season, of our new players, I think only Soldado hasn't missed any games this season through injury. That is one in seven who has been fully available to us. Anecdotally, almost always our players seem to be out for longer than originally anticipated and never make the speedy miraculous recovery that other teams players often seem to. The reason IMO is our medical department. I can't think of any other, can you?

Nice to win but not at the expense of having players unavailable for league matches coming up.

No win game for Sherwood. If we win it's because they were a poor side lacking match practice, if we lose it's because he picked a weak side.

At the UEFA pre-match meeting this morning (Thursday), it was confirmed that tonight's Europa League fixture against FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk will go ahead as scheduled – 6pm UK time/8pm local time.

There will be a minute’s silence before kick-off and both teams will wear black armbands during the game as a mark of respect to those who have lost their lives as a result of the unrest in Ukraine.

In addition, we have been asked to request that our fans do not display any banners this evening as a mark of respect.

The Club would like to remind supporters travelling to the match to take extra care when journeying to and from the stadium.

Once again travelling fans are advised to avoid gatherings and areas where demonstrations could occur such as public squares and administrative buildings.

For those fans travelling via Kiev, the Metro in Kiev is currently still not operating - details on how to get from Boryspil Airport to the railway station in Kiev is available by clicking here.

We remain in contact with the British Embassy in Ukraine and will continue to convey any relevant new information to supporters via this website throughout the day.

SEATING CHANGES

Please note that there has been a change to seating arrangements. Tickets have been issued for Spurs fans in Sector 17 and not 27/28 as originally planned.

Supporters should still go to the designated gate for visiting fans to the left of the main entrance of the stadium, where Tottenham Hotspur staff will distribute the tickets and direct fans to the appropriate place.

These tickets are upgrades from the originals, however fans will now be in a mixed area of the stadium, with no segregation. We have been advised that this area contains mainly families.

Tottenham Hotspur staff will be available throughout the evening at the gate or in Sector 17 if there are any questions. Please also use the Travel Line if necessary.
