****OMT***** Tottenham Hotspur vs. Crystal Palace - 11/01/14: 3pm

Any official team news yet ?

Hope we will get all our injured players back soon. We have badly missed Vertonghen, especially. Hope we turn up with the right mentality and get a comfortable win against Palace.

The people predicting a goalless draw (or worse), are you professional pessimists? We're playing Crystal Palace at home, not Barcelona (although the colours aren't miles off!).

Come on. I'm far from Tim's biggest fan but he should be able to get us a result against these relegation-certs. We shouldn't even need to put in as good a performance as we did in our last home game in the league, which was our biggest win (3-0 v Stoke) in over a year FFS! At the end of the day, Palace mainly have a load of Championship players with the odd Premier League standard one. Yeah fair play, Pulis has improved them and made them tougher to beat but we have a multi-hundred-million worth team; they should have enough to defeat this lot. I'm aware they ran Emirates Marketing Project close, losing 1-0, but City were resting most of their top players if I remember correctly.

Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Chiriches, Rose; Lennon, Bentaleb, Dembele, Eriksen; Adebayor, Soldado.

Was poor against the gooners but has a decent balance to it for a game like tomorrow's. Wouldn't mind seeing Holtby or Sigurdsson in the middle instead of Bentaleb though.

3-1 Spurs. COMEEEEE ONNNNN YOUUUUU SPUUURRS

We are going to win tomorrow, it might not be pretty but the team seem to playing with more freedom. Forget last week, we always phone it in at the Emirates. I'm not saying it will be easy, but I'm confident we can get at least one goal.

love it how everyone on here is playing down our chances, palace obviously much improved under Pulis but theyre pants away, we win handily

A few things that perhaps some of the 'pessimists' have not forgotten:

- Not since the 1980/81 season have we beaten Crystal Palace at home; in fact some really dog****e sides including those whove been relegated have taken points at WHL

- Tony Pulis might be many things but he is somebody that can set up his teams well defensively; he would have studied our naivity against Arsenal and will look to exploit our weaknesses at the back; oh and his team have pace for once

- This is Spurs we are talking about; a win could take us 4th if scores go well elsewhere; 8 times out of 10 we let ourselves down in these scenarios

- Why should our players not feel this over-confidence as well?

- Are Palace worse than West Ham?? We couldn't get a result recently against them at Home. And WE had scored and WE were winning

- Palace were deemed unlucky to come away from City without a point; narrowly losing 1-0. I need say no more

Let's hope such comments as the ones bolded don't come back to bite us on buttock...

In the Premier League form table since 9 November, Crystal Palace are 9th, one place behind us, having conceded only 8 goals - the fewest of any team.

Looking at our form post the 2-2 draw with ManU on 1 December paints a prettier picture:

6-2 to spurs.

Not that theyre the whipping boys anymore - Pulis has done a sterling job over there

Yep nice to see my nice and early message of 'lets not be complacent' message really sunk home :)

In all honesty with the quality we have - money spent on players we should win this game at home........but football rarely works like that......

Really nervous about this....its essesntial we get the three points on the board.....a decent peformance is a bonus.....first and foremost we need to get to 40 points by 5.15pm today.

Tough one today can see a draw they will sit in tight try nick it on the break.
We have never beat them at the lane in the prem

Anything in particular happening at that time or are just expecting a lot of added time? :)

We hadn't scored a goal at St. Mary's stadium until last season, now we've scored 5 there.

What's this nonsense about what we haven't done in the past? It's about what we do today!! We can win, we have the quality to win, the game won't be easy but we can get the three points.

wasnt sure what time to put....didnt want to jinx it then they get an equaliser after the time I had put.....thought I would play it safe.;)

This week has just been so incredibly slow. Still two hours to Hull-Chelsea. Really ought to do something useful...

I live in Norway and they onlys show Cardiff vs WH (because of OGS is the new manager) . I was wondering if it is possible to buy a HD live stream through BBC or SKY or something like that . Eager to see this match so if anybody can help me it would be much appreciated :)
