A HEROIC match-thread. Well done to Aber and Raziel…4th place and the Europa Cup is ours…I might even love Vertonghen again. 10-0 Spurs, Soldado and Chadli hat-tricks, Danny Rose 40 yarder, Lloris sweeper-keeper chip-punt for the 8th and Caulker with 2 own goals. Bale to break down in tears post Madrid game and beg to be allowed back to the Lane.

This, only with Dembele or Soldado instead of Sandro. I want Sandro to play, but would rather give him a 30 minute cameo at the end so he's good to go for the Chelsea game.
He's a fragile Beast, would be devastating if he got injured again this season.

Tottenham Hotspur host Cardiff City at White Hart Lane on Sunday 2nd March 2014 (KO 16:30) in the 28th round of the 2013-14 Premier League season.
Spurs come into the match in 5th place in the table on 50 points with Cardiff in 19th place on 22 points. This will be the 54th time the two teams have met and the first time in the Premier League at the Lane.
Cardiff City were founded as Riverside AFC in 1899. In 1908, the club changed their name to Cardiff City and moved to Ninian Park two years later. They joined the Southern League Second Division shorty afterwards. The Bluebirds won promotion to the SL First Division for season 1913-14 and ended the 1914-15 season in third place before football was suspended for WW1.
Cardiff spent one more season in the Southern League before joining the Football League Division Two in 1920-21, when they finished as runners-up and won promotion to Division One.
The first meeting with Tottenham Hotspur at Ninian Park in August 1921 resulted in a 1-0 win for Spurs with Jimmy Banks scoring the winner. Spurs won the game at White Hart Lane 4-1 a week later with Tommy Clay, Andy Thompson (2) and Jimmy Dimmock all scoring.
The first FA Cup meeting came in March 1922 with Spurs drawing 1-1 in Cardiff and winning the replay 2-1. To date, the clubs have played six FA Cup games with Spurs winning three, two games drawn and Cardiff winning once.
The clubs met regularly during the 1920s and early 1930s, including two seasons in Division Two. Two matches were played during World War Two in March 1941 with Spurs winning the War Cup game 3-2 at Ninian Park after a 3-3 draw at White Hart Lane.
The clubs met for three seasons in Division Two in the 1940s with Spurs winning five of the six matches.
From 1952 to 1962, Spurs and Cardiff played 14 matches in Division One with 6 wins for Spurs, 4 draws and 4 wins for Cardiff. At the end of the 1961-62 season, Cardiff City were relegated and only returned to the Top Flight for season 2013-14.
Tottenham drew 0-0 at Cardiff in the Second Division in September 1977 and won the game at White Hart Lane 2-1 in Juanuary 1978 with Scottish striker John Duncan scoring both goals.
The only Football League Cup match the clubs have contested came in October 2002 with Teddy Sheringham scoring at the Lane.
The most recent meeting came in the FA Cup 3rd Round in January 2007 with the clubs drawing 0-0 in Cardiff and Spurs winning the replay 4-0 with goals from Aaron Lennon, Robbie Keane, Steed Malbranque and Jermain Defoe.
During the summer 2013 transfer window, Spurs central defender Steven Caulker moved to Cardiff City for a reported £9,000,000.
Spurs won the game at Cardiff in September 2013 1-0 with Paulinho scoring the winner late into stoppage time in the second half.
Overall, Spurs have won 29, Cardiff have won 11 and 13 of the 53 matches between the two clubs have been drawn.

Actually I like this.
Thing is Paulinho and Soldado are both so off form (or are they?), that it's constantly the position that is up for grabs.
Could even try Chadli on the left and Eriksen behind Ade.
From yesterdays game Sandro, Eriksen and Ade were all massive pluses. Hope to have them play every game. Just want to see Lamela back now.
What's not to like?!
That midfield has a beast, a passer, a box to boxer (can't think of a better term), creativity, pace - it has everything.
Except Freund's 1996 ponytail.

Does anyone know why he hasn't been playing Eriksen? Slight knock? Just doesn't fancy him? It's strange as he was assisting and scoring pretty much every game before he was dropped. And last night he was our best player by a mile (Ade was close). If Sandro and Eriksen can stray fit and Tim has the sense to start them both every game, we may pull something out of our **** this season. Our team is so good, our squad size even better... Tim needs to stay lucky, needs to just pick our best players, and hope they drag us through!

I wouldn't play Paulinho and Soldado in the same team unless Ade is being rested. Paulinho wants to spend all his time in and around the box and with two strikers thats a problem. I'd prefer to see the same team that we had out tonight, perhaps Soldado will break the hex on him with continuous games.
