Lucas Moura

No argument that he’s been a good servant from the point of view of getting his head down and cracking on.

Taking his time as a whole, though (Amsterdam not withstanding) his contribution on the pitch has been limited really. If we want to take the step to winning things he’s exactly the type of player who needs upgrading imo, and who’s needed upgrading on for quite some time.

Yeh good servant and on his day a very good player, consistency was probably his biggest flaw but all that aside there is nothing wrong or in saying that it's probably time to move on from him now

Social democrats are just weak kneed former socialists, who lack the strength of their convictions. Just what is 'social democracy' anyway, other than being a meaninglessness label for the weak hearted?
Democracy is about the right for people to believe in what they believe in! Something that people on the modern left will not allow.

Social democrats just believe that you should be rewarded for hard work and skill. That you should be able to own your own home and business. That everyone should be given an opportunity to make something of themselves but it is up to them. But that the weakest in society should not be left to starve and die.

Think of it as a zero sum game of poker.
The capitalist believes in the winner takes all.
The social democrat believes the winner should win but the losers still have enough to get a cab home and pay their rent that month.
A socialist believes that you play the game but nobody wins or loses any money, either way you all have the same amount as each other.

Its not just the left, the right are no better.
When did the world become so "if you're not with me you're against me"?

If you are to the right of me you're on the right. Or on the left of me you're on the left. Forgetting that you might not be in the middle. The left of you might still be right or vice versa. Also there is middle ground.

Are you seriously suggesting that DEMOCRATIC socialists do not believe in home ownership and any private business?

Back on to football, given his injury status and reported interest in going back to his first club, it could make a lot of sense to release him this January to open up a NHG spot in the squad for a replacement

We really need another attacking option...

Democratic socialism is not the same as social democracy.

I know it's derailing the thread, but honestly i can't see moura playing for us again. Not sure what's happened. Like lo celso, winks, reguilon he seems broken.

To my point, i blame aoc and bernie sanders for mislabelling themselves as democratic socialists then advocating social democracy policies. Then the american media labelling them socialists. Gets very confusing.

Depends on his injury.

I'm a democratic socialist and advocate for public ownership of energy, water, public transport, law enforcement, correctional services health and education. Many so called social democrats do not believe in public ownership at all.. Just because I advocate for public ownership of the above does not mean that I am opposed to private property in other areas of the economy. So Clem Attlee was not a socialist according to the above definition or Bevan either? It seems to equate all socialism to some Soviet style command economy structure. What a load of crap!

Provide an alternative link then.

What one that suggests that all socialists are opposed to private ownership total? Why would I need to when the idea is absurd. Check out any Labour Party manifesto prior to the elevation of that sell out Blair. Labour is full of socialists, if you hadn't noticed and none are in support of the idea of nationalizing your house. However, they do want to nationalize transport and energy, which kinda proves my point.

He wants to go back home, he's unlikely to get much playtime in 2nd half of season, so yes, agreed.

He's not going to get match fit by the looks of it and he will be so rusty anyway.
Should have been sold or given away last summer.
Another poor squad management decision but Conte seemed to want to keep Moura more than Bergwyn.

He can trust him
Trust him to do what, I don’t know. I think he is the exact opposite of a conte player but he does seem to like him
