Interim manager thread 2.0

I genuinely think we need someone/ a team in who can short-term repair the injury between the eyebrow and hairline which has afflicted the whole club.
I bagged on myself for wanting Vibes FC + good coaches. Right now, Redknapp/Mason/Defoe could be the last roll of any dice we have. Redknapp would tell them all they're good players and to prove it, Mason can coach and has worked with many of these players/has a linkage, and Defoe is with the kids right now anyway.
Can it be worse?
I do sadly have a feeling if we stick with Tudor, the boat is heading one way.

Redknapp won't be available until Cheltenham has finished. :)

or spunk 10 mil on Poch to avoid losing 200 plus mil.

Not gonna happpen now when he has the WC coming up. He's establsihed a hoem away from home in charge of the US. He wouldn't want to alienate himself from America entirely by doing that - and he would likely genuinley want to manage in a world cup anyway.

It was hope of a miracle more than a genuine comment

No new manager, Poch or otherwise is going to make the slightest difference between now and the end of the season. We do not have the available players, we do not have the required level of fitness nor do those remaining have (on evidence of multiple managers) the desire/composure/drive to win.

Our only hope is our injured players, hope we get Kudus/Maddison/Bergvall back in time to make a difference, especially against those around us, but this manager circus our fans fuel is ridiculous.

Tonight was just weird wasn’t it. It’s like the collective squad has the yips. I don’t know if there’s any actual explanation for it anymore. Owners, managers, player dynamics, there’s just nothing that explains what is now happening.

I too think vibes is the only way now. Maybe the squad have used this game to get used to Tudor’s system, and we’ll be the better for it. But that can’t account for the players almost willing bad things to happen to them. There’s some sort of cosmic negative influence on our team. It’s mad. We just need someone to make them think they actually deserve to win a game before they step on the pitch.

Also think the players need someone to make them laugh. Just something, this situation has gotten so absurd that laughing at it hysterically might be the the only way you can crawl out of the hole.

Amen.
Let's hope someone figures it out among the middle management CHILDREN we have supposedly running this club m(well, they are running it into the ground)...

There is really only one nine-game option (or 8)...Redknapp and Mason. That's it IMO. It is about the only combination which could unite the fans and club for one enormous push to get the fudge out of dodge.

I've always been an advocate for Harry - as long as there is a team of coaches working with him with very current experience of the existing squad and of the PL. Mason is one of those; Ledley, Defoe, Davies? Heitinga?

The ludicrousy of Harry though is that it's now Cheltenham week - what would the mechanics of this appointment actually be right now? The festival runs through to a crescendo on Friday? If so, what happens? Does Vinai or whoever it is who makes the call demand that he meet with them in secret. Knowing Harry - there's no way any communications, no matter how speculative, would stay quiet at Cheltenham - Alan Brazil would get a whisper and broadcast it!

Therefore, do they wait for Friday afternoon - do what happened when he took over in 2008 and install him overnight before the game at Anfield on Sunday afternoon?

Maybe Mason is announced first with rest of coaching team and then Harry is later dropped in as an overseer/consultant.

A complete circus whatever happens now!

Apparnely Redknapp is supposed to be going on I'm A Celebrity again... I would iaigne he would tur it down if he had a chance to manage again but something that would need ironign out (not that I ever expect him to come back)

I hear you on the gallows humour approach with the players. They should all be made to watch Mike Bassett: England Manager today. Get them all laughing. Invite massive Spurs fan Michael McIntyre to the club to get their spirits up. In fact, get him in 2 or 3 times a week.

I'm starting to believe the Redknapp, Mason, Dawson, Keane, Defoe, Davies approach might be better than this Tudor one.

When we moved into our Billion Pound stadium to become a really serious club it was natural that within 7 years we'd have to be negotiating schedules with ITV to ensure that our preferred 2nd interim managerial appointment in a month could be available to help us avoid relegation.
