Just clearing the air... nothing wrong with my ankle. I came off at HT due to the stomach virus I've had all week. Should be ok for Tuesday

I don't give a monkey's about Tuesday. Be fit for the weekend and the rest of the season for Spurs.

Re: Gareth Bale

Everything that is wrong with the British game, right there. This is why the continent is streets ahead, considering our kids are taught this type of play at youth level.

I'm sure that there are still a few dinosaurs preaching that kind of gospel. But I'm equally sure that they are the exception rather than the norm. Vast majority of those involved in youth football wouldn't tolerate such a philosophy.

Gareth Bale, possibly the most coveted player in world football at the moment, has agreed a new deal.

However, the Tottenham winger has not put pen to paper at White Hart Lane, but has instead agreed to become a pundit on BT's new sport channel.

Under the agreement, the Wales international will also help market BT's campaign for its 38 live Premier League games from next season.

Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: "We are delighted that we've managed to do what dozens of top football managers would like to do - sign Gareth Bale."

The announcement follows the high profile capture of Jake Humphrey from the BBC.

This implies he's staying put doesn't it?

Re: Gareth Bale

I'm also thinking naming rights for the stadium... Infinity Stadium ;)
