ENIC

Looks like lewis has passed control to bryan antoine glinton. Quick google seems to suggest he's a lawyer that lives in the bahamas. Joe sick or something?

Tottenham and Joe Lewis change explained as supporters question new documents filed
The Premier League club filed documents with Companies House that became public and brought plenty of confusion among Tottenham fans

Tottenham Hotspur have filed changes to its register of 'persons with significant control' which has got fans talking about owner Joe Lewis.

Documents filed by the club with Companies House on Friday became public on Sunday and showed that Joe Lewis, the 85-year-old owner of ENIC which owns the majority of shares in the Premier League club, was to no longer be shown as a 'person with significant control'.

Instead Bryan Antoine Glinton, given an address in the Bahamas on the forms, was filed as the name of the 'individual person with significant control'. That notice signifies someone who "has the right to exercise significant influence or control over the activities of a trust, and the trustees of that trust, hold, directly or indirectly, more than 50% but less than 75% of the shares in the company".

Miami-born Glinton is a lawyer who specialises in corporate law and estate planning and he is a legal advisor to the Tavistock group, founded by Lewis, which owns ENIC and therefore Spurs.

When asked about the change by football.london, a club spokesman said: "Tottenham Hotspur Limited has filed changes to its register of persons with significant control following a reorganisation of the Lewis Family Trusts. The new PSCs of the Company are the officers of the family’s discretionary trust."

football.london understands that the move, which is simply a family trust restructure, does not change anything for Spurs as they have and continue to be owned by Joe Lewis and the family trust and run by chairman Daniel Levy.

Evidence that our medical team isn't right all the time.

A pity as Trippier turned out to be one of the best on his role this season and exactly what we need.

Got to wonder if other players with injuries could have done with better care.
I haven’t read it but if it’s about trippier playing with his injury he did make it public when he left
He just played through it for the good of the team and then got crap when he played poor
He would be great for us now under conte
When I met him he was really nice and friendly and seemed to be really enjoying playing for us

It's a no win situation for players and clubs, the manager/coach will always want his strongest team to play even if player is injured so will the fans, perhaps he should have forced the issue, Lo Celso, Lamela and Romero havent seem to have a problem missing games.

Didn’t the saudis sign him for about £10m? Would have been ideal as a stop gap or even could have been a medium term option as one of our two rwb’s.

Love FP and AC but that is poor from the pair of them tbh.

The headline of the article tells you £12m.
Also it tells you he was annoyed by Spurs not allowing him to have surgery; so why do you expect FP and AC to entice him back if he was already annoyed with Spurs?
Note that is the tip of the iceberg, he says there were other things too.
I suspect he should have demanded surgery, better to fix it and be out for 4 weeks than play crap for 4 weeks, get pelters and leave!

"At United, the progress was zero, in my opinion. To compare with Real Madrid and even Juventus, they follow the rest of the world. So the technology, especially in terms of training, nutrition and conditions of eating properly and recovering better than before - surprised me.“

That's from Ronaldo, and I wonder how we fare in this regard. Conte and Paratici should know from their Juve days. We last the longest on the pitch these days so that's a big difference already.

Our training ground isn't recognised as possibly the best in europe cause it looks pretty. It is cutting edge technology wise.

Surgery is always the last resort. It seems there is a lot more to it than just an injury issue.
I don't think its always the case. I've learnt on here that an ACL surgery actually leaves it stronger. I have a partial ACL tear and a loose knee joint that's causing more problems as time goes on.
It costs money for survery including downtime or opportunity costs for the club, adding pressure to management when the squad is lacking depth. Can see how management vs player issues come up. Having said that I think it could be the other way around too - like players refusing surgery.

saw a funny post referring to twitter takeover as the village idiot taking over the town square.
i am convinced we have the best (newest) facilities and technology, just not sure that we have (yet) the best personnel to make full use of it. The best tech will be notable, if we haven't upgraded our people to get the best out there then I'm not sure if we can fully take advantage of the new tech.
anyway just idle thoughts, not saying we do or we don't have the best sports med tech and personnel but wished more info was available.

Jeez. Surgery always is the last choice once the medical professionals (yes professionals) have assessed and then exhausted all reasonable options. A professional footballer should not be 'demanding surgery', he should stay in his lane. He can ask for a second opinion (the club probably do this anyway with problematic cases) or he could pay for surgery himself BUT he risks everything doing so. To say 'Christian and Ben had surgery so why can't I ?' is as an embarrassing comment you'll ever hear. Every case and injury will be different, and therefore judged and treated in isolation.
As for your knee @metalgear, it's a bugger. If you had fully ruptured it, 100% you'd be under the knife. With a partial tear, they'll do the usual, assess your lifestyle (and age) and think it can be conservatively managed by strengthening muscle groups to stabilise it for everyday life. Obviously that puts the onus on you to follow a program.

The medical team at a club should have as much power as they need to green light who can and can't take to the field every week.
