I'm sorry but i cannot see that as a red card, it just isn't and you can't legislate for that kind of reffing.

You can argue it’s not a red, fair enough. But he’s high and it looks malicious.

The point is that Martinelli is going backwards. We have three players in that area of the pitch, they have two. So there is no need to make any challenge let alone one as stupid as that.

Whether or not he deserved a red for the challenge is debatable but I can see why the ref gave it. However, Royal deserved it for his stupidity.

It was a little soft, but Emerson gave Taylor the opportunity to make up for the pen he gave us, and he took the opportunity. Martinelli rolled around and screamed like he'd been shot, after all.

And he did it out on the touchline, deep into *their* half.

I cannot fathom the sheer stupidity of that man. Class A macaron, dangerously brainless.

Its not high and certainly not malicious, in fact if martinelli was going towards the goal he doesn't go down there we're moaning at royal for a weak challenge.
Only reason i can see fir that card is leveling up for either the pen or romero at Chelsea.

Why give the ref a chance to make that call, though? Nothing was at stake, it was out in their half by the touchline. Why give that c*nt Martinelli a chance to roll around and weep like a man bereaved at losing his leg to a landmine?

Emerson is a macaron, pure and simple. If Conte starts him again, he can't complain about not having a good RWB - my brother in Christ, you are the one starting the only Brazilian in the entire world who neither has skills nor a brain.

I agree, to a point. But its a NLD that we are trailing in, i would rather our players were eager to get in and about them and some of the passive crap we seen from others.

I would prefer thay when in acres of space they do what players three leagues lower can do and put in a decent cross.

There was a good low cross in the first half that went right across the goal with no one attacking it, with three up front and a wb on the other side how does that happen?
Sums up our play atm if ask me.

But then we go game after game where he can't put in one ball and players are clearly looking for Perisic with players round him over him in space. Speaks volumes on their faith and rightly so. Poor...so poor
