Coronavirus

Chinas outbreak now spreaded to 20 provinces. Even with lockdowns. Last week they ordered all citizens to stock up on food and water. Obviously this led to panic buying and prices have gone through the roof.

Germany at 28,986 cases today. That's up from 16,285 this time week. That is with much lower testing than the uk. Was higher thursday and friday though so i expect the numbers to increase as the week progresses.

China needs to sort itself out quickly. Supply chain problems are starting to tinkle me off now.

They're fudged. Their zero covid policy has caught them in a trap. Their vaccine was something like 52% effective. Not counting waning immunity. They have an aging population due to the single child rule.
Even if we say the death rate of covid is around 0.5%. with a population of 1.4 billion. Thats 3.5 million deaths. Add to that how many hospitalisations. It would have them on their knees.

It’s 7 million but point taken.

The real damage is the time it will take for this to pass through them, it’ll be many years just to get to where the U.K. is now in terms of exposure.

And they swab anally that’s a lot of bum poking - fortunately they can only point those fingers at themselves.

Flu jab for me yesterday, very very achy shoulder
Pharmacist said this year the flu strain was cultivated in a lab rather than using an egg like previous years

Never bothered with a flu jab in the past but they were doing both at the same place so we went fot it. Begining to think we should have stayed away from it.
