Coronavirus

(the original of this directly from the WEF seems to have been pulled, but above is a sort of 'copy')

Referencing Ida Auken, a Danish MP, who wrote key articles around this for the WEF site:

Again, some more material not available on official WEF site anymore funnily enough:

I suspect that the reason the above two were pulled was because of the statement on the USA not being the dominant force anymore...possibly got too many people questioning imo..

Some very interesting commentary by Sky News Australia:

You give any semblance of credit to Sky News Australia? It's Fox News with a different badge. Nothing more than right wing Murdoch scum.

Not all, but tens of thousand more certainly will die prematurely in the UK in the coming few months as a result of further government incompetence and delay.
Would that be the same government that is pretty much leading the world in vaccinations, or the one that's completely overreacted and essentially locked down the entire country after listening to the panicked cries of people like you?

Seems likely they'll close secondary schools only but not primary. My son is at primary and half his class and teachers got covid and passed it to entire family. A couple of the kids have been ill with Covid too. Proper flu like symptoms for the children.

To assume this doesn't occur in primary schools is fudging horrendous and dangerous.

They don't assume that obviously.

They're taking into account the fact that shutting primary schools means shutting the economy, which is the absolute worst of all options.

Senior school kids can stay at home during the working day, primary kids can't. It's that simple -thsts why they have to stay open.

I've not seen any compelling data to close primary schools personally. Secondary schools I've seen my teenager get it but again he got it at home and took it to school however it does make them poorly and contagious and they could be taking it home to vulnerable folk. I think secondary schools probably won't open for January until this thing settles down

I can only go on first hand accounts, my son's primary school is small and had two confirmed cases through most of this term. Final week of school, they've had almost 50% of kids in years 4-8 out with corona and obviously taking it home. The most worrying aspect is several kids were symptomatic, ill with fevers etc.

I wonder if a decision may be made to prioritise vaccinating secondary school children because they appear to be one of main routes of transmission and opening schools should be a priority.

Well that's what happens when you rooster up your response. The countries that fare best are those with successful testing and tracing. We gave out contracts to Tory chums instead. So people will have to deal with a fudged economy I'm afraid. It's already on its arse thanks to this lot. Can't now sit there and say "save the economy" especially after we voted for Bojo to deliver a brexit deal that's bad for the economy. Irony alert.
