Christian Stellini - Acting Head Coach for a small part of the season

Don't you overdramatise my comment. At the time of Conte's departure we were lying fourth with a decent chance of top four. Giving the reigns to Stellini was akin to giving up our last ( admittedly outside ) chance of top four. Who knows whether a new manager bounce may have got us over the line ( uncle Roy hasn't done too bad at Palace). Hence ONE of Levy's biggest mistakes for me. He just sealed our fate this season.
Why be so desperate to get CL, we need a proper regroup and rebuild. Had enough of short term, let's have a bit of long term please. More than happy for Levy to take his time, rather than a knee jerk appointment.

It’s not the fans you have to worry about being desperate for the Champions League…. It is the chairman. He is the person that sacks managers the moment they miss/look like they might miss out on it.

Additionally the funds from the Champions League are crucial for our transfer budget. It is very difficult to perform a rebuild on a limited budget…. Especially so when the chairman has proven time and again that he doesn’t have the patience for one which means it is really hard for a manager to buy and blood cheaper young players and/or those from the weak leagues.
