Christian Stellini - Acting Head Coach for a small part of the season

Do not laugh, this is a serious question. Supposing Conte for whatever reason decides to go back to Italy in the summer would any of you want the club to consider Stellini for the job?

Hard question to answer, big difference between being the #2 and #1, is he the nice guy in the setup?

What I will say is his interviews are way more interesting than any manager we have had since probably Jol, actually answers stuff not just media management brick ..

Not when one of the best coaches in the world is available and living in Hadley Wood

Maybe keep him on as assistant though if he's settled here and it might be a way to reinvigorate the incoming coaching team dynamic

Stellini doesn't do anything Conte hasn't already told him to.

Obviously a key part of the team, obviously has the respect of the squad, but its a different thing when you don't have ultimate responsibility.

One could have said the same about Arteta before he joined the Goons.

Anyway let's hope Conte has a sucessful season and wants to stay and build something here

It's not about ability its about process and chain of command.

Arteta at City followed instructions, at Arsenal he gives them.

Stellini may well be a great manager in waiting, but Conte is the architect of todays' win*.

*Pep again gets loads of credit of course :D

One big difference with Stellini is that he seems much more controlled on the sidelines and isn’t barking and shouting

Why did I know the OP was going to post this without even opening the thread.

@Gutter Boy your obsession with getting Antonio out and pochettino or any one else in is concerning. When you stopped posting, because Mourinho was the manager was funny ... this though is getting a bit silly.

I almost think that you were upset last season the way Conte came in and tore it up and getting 4th in the process.

Your fantasy of tossing off to pochettino coming back in some sort of saviour return is delusional.

Why don't you just pipe up and actually back the manager rather than ousting him at any small chance.

we could get away cheap if we retained conte's brother and stellini and hope no one would notice.
