Chelsea can afford to have him fail too.
This season is a right off, so if he works out its a bonus.
If he flops, he's just another Torress, Shexhenko etc and they can loan him out - the £ doesn't matter to them and they are a Circus, so neither does the embarrassment.
For us, we need players that fit and will work/can be blended into the playing philosophy and club mentality.
Chelsea don't have that anymore and need to build it again.
