*** OMT - Tottenham Hotspur VS Some Gauche Middle Eastern Oil Money ***

There needs to be some perspective here. Guardiola is an exceptional manager/coach with millions of pounds at his disposal. It's not a surprise he is going to produce a world class team. Mourinho can't live with his teams, neither could Ferguson. It is not surprising we can't come close to them when they have their strongest team and we have key players out. When they go into this game on the back of 15 straight wins while our form is inconsistent. People on here make me laugh.

There are some on here who will take criticism of the team as being from plastic fans....did you just watch the same match?! If so, please tell me about all the great things that we did.

Criticism of the team is okay. A few need a look in the mirror today and this season - Dier and Alli being chief amongst them. Some of the posts to me seemed to suggest that people thought that us losing in any way wasn’t acceptable. City are in a different league.

It does feel a bit like something is wrong behind the scenes but despite that and despite today, I have huge faith in the manager.

City are obv very very good. Without Wanyamma, Toby and Sanchez we were up against it.

Tactically we were terrible. Why did we not change it?

I actually think most of the team gave it their all.

Despite the goal, Eriksen gutless throughout, as he is in any game against a physical side.

I think Poch’s whole philosophy is to make players think they’re great, and to set the team up as if they are great. But when we’re up against a team that’s better, it just all falls apart tactically and psychologically.

I wonder if ANOTHER bad away result against a top team will make him realise an alternative approach is needed.

I also do worry that after just falling short for 2 seasons, and now again this season, psychologically we’ll increasingly crumble under the pressure of realising that we’re just not quite as good as we want to be.

And fudge off City, you soulless shell of a club.

That was humbling!
Maybe necessary.
I appreciate that Poch would have wanted to start Toby, Sanchez, Wanyama and maybe Lamela, but it would be good to see variations in what's put forward. Or the realisation that substitutes to fundamentally change how we are playing are sometimes a reasonable idea.

Utd failed trying that tactic last week. Plus Dier is not a good enough centre half to defend all game. We've been stuffed by having 2 centre halves unavailable.

Man utd lost by one goal. They also had two of their first choice defenders out and their best midfield and perhaps best player.

Yes I know they were at home. And I know they've spent more yada yada. We should not be shipping 4 to any team really. We should be expecting better performances against the other good teams.

Dier not good enough as a cb to defend all game. What kind of cb does that make him then?

Other than the Liverpool game, we've not put in a good performance against the other top 6 so far this season.

fudge off. That was right back to the old Sherwood days. No tactical organization, schoolboy errors all over the shop, second to everything, no brains, no calmness, no tactical nous, no leadership.

We tried - we showed fight, but that was it. And we were thrashed, taken apart, schooled like the soppy sods we were by the better side - the much, much better side, with a better manager, better players and a better plan.

Not much more to be said, really.

F*ck this.

16 in a row for Emirates Marketing Project. I really hope that win every game from now until the end of the season. Good luck to them, but then maybe FPP will be properly looked at. They can't even sell their stadium out ffs.

It's the manner that hurts. Most expected to lose. We played with no guts. We looked like little boys. It was pathetic. Poor goals to concede

Not anything this season. Needs to get his head out his arse. Someone needs to tell him he isn't all that

Dier is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. He’s a liability at centre back as he showed against United and today. He’s a good CM but far from world class.

He’s still young and can get better but he’d want to focus on doing that because right now he looks like he still has his nose out of joint about not going to United.

Nah, Poch is overrated. End of.

Alli really is not affecting games at the moment. He is not making any late runs or taking on players. He is so off form at the moment.

Dier is not a CB again may teams that will our possess us. He always makes a mistake. Him and tripps let them in all game long. Every city attack was down our right.

Dembele looks old. Moved slow, got out muscled. Was sad to watch.

Winks got swamped.

Eriksen did nothing.

I’m glad to see Lamela back as we need some Change up front behind Harry.

When is victor back?

I’m assuming Sanchez is back next game as well?

Sanchez in
Aurier in
Lamela in

Drop Tripps
Drop dele

A loss is a loss isn't it? Utd lost, so did Arsenal, so did Liverpool and Chelsea. We are off form and have key players off. What do you think we should be doing differently then?

Unfortunately it is mostly on Poch and the coaching team. We could have lost 10-0 and that is no exaggeration.

Even allowing for our missing players, we can’t beat a high press. Lloris and the defenders aren’t cute enough. We were far too open all game. At ht we should have brought on Llorente for Dele and played like we did against Real Madrid away.

Poch is sooooo tactically naive.
