Excuse me but had we lost i would not have worried too much.
But letting a two goal lead slip at home is not acceptable. The team that played sould have had the maturity to see the game out.
Poch himself is bulletproof but i didn't like his comments about the cup before the game.
Bigger fish to fry comes to mind but should have continued am undefeated streak of games no matter what the competition.

He put a team out able to be winning comfortably at half time. When the team started to fold he made changes to try and pull things back around.

His attitude to the fixture before the game would have filtered through to the players just as they do when he speaks positively.
He is a manager of course and these things happen but I'm sure he is finding this less acceptable more than me, considering the way the game panned out.

It doesn't excuse poor touches - he hasn't been nearly good enough. Although I don't know just how good a player would join a club in Spurs's position when we have Kane. He's probably about as good as we can expect for a player who knows he'll barely get a start. He also (reportedly) cost significantly less than half a Sissoko.
If he starts tripping himself up and giving me a fit of the giggles, I'll be sure to let you know.
He's knocked off the ball because quote often, defenders (especially West Ham types) are stronger than he is.

If ever a team and their fans was galvanised by a goal, for the Spammers yesterday was it.
Maybe if we had filled the available 50,000 capacity and out-noised their fans it might have been different. But 1000s of our fans voted with their feet by staying away and the majority of those who were there (including myself if I'm honest) either could not or did not want to be bothered to raise enough noise to urge our own team on.
So it could be argued we got what we deserved. That's how I see it anyway.

Cant argue about the competition be a waste of space.

The problem we had is although we have the gears to go through we just didn't get going...
What we needed was someone getting hurt or an injustice to spark the fire but it was as time as it could have possibly been

Maybe so but yesterday showed just how much fans can have an impact on what goes on the pitch. Once they'd scored the Spammers responded to their fans by raising their game out of all recognition.
Sadly our fans did not really respond likewise except in fits and starts.
Players are only human. It may well have had a bearing.
When given anonymity, players tend to state that fans don't affect them positively or negatively. It's just a game everyone plays to give us a warm fuzzy feeling and keep our wallets open.
The empty seats and lack of noise from our fans tells me that, on the whole, we consider a midweek cup match to be about as important as I do and as Poch appears to.

Must admit I thought our fans were pretty good on the whole last night, and not just in the first half. Maybe it depends on where you are but it felt/sounded loud around me.
