I think its not a bad move really. Llorente is a good footballer, excellent in the air and in the box. Obvious back up, and likely happier than Janssen to be there. AND clearly a better goal scorer in the PL.
WBA have apparently bid £25m for Janssen, £15m for Llorente would be classic Spurs business wouldnt it!?
Im not against this one at all. Its a bit left field, but makes a certain degree of sense.

Tottenham have moved ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign Fernando Llorente from Swansea City.
Chelsea have been close for weeks now to a deal for the Spanish striker, who has a strong relationship with Blues manager Antonio Conte.
But Tottenham have come from nowhere to have an offer accepted by Swansea and the move is appealing to Llorente.
Chelsea are expected to make a counter offer and the 32-year-old's destination is said to be too close to call.
If he ends up at Tottenham, it is possible that Spurs forward Vincent Janssen will leave the club on loan.

At this moment in time he is a better sub than Janssen so I like this move but will be rubbish if we don't get a winger or an attacking midfielder like Barkley, Mahrez or Gray.

Selling Janssen for £25m would be incredible business after last season.
I like him, and I do hope for him to come good, but it would undeiably be an absolute steal to shift him for a profit at this point.
And to replace him with a wily old player who knows where the goal is, for £15m (peanuts in this market) is the icing on the cake

Llorente has the same issues as Benteke. He's a perfect forward for a 4-4-2 team that plays on the break and has a Defoe next to him and two touchline hugging wingers. He's not suited to a fluid, high tempo passing and possession side

I like the loan idea better. Janssen needs minutes to play himself into form and to fully acclimatise to the PL. Llorente is a target man, a good one, but will not be a suitable long term replacement for Kane were he to get injured IMO. I'm down with this as a loan but less so if it is an outright sale of Janssen.
15mil for Llorente seems a tad on the high side for someone of his age. It would not surprise me to see a lower cost up front and some appearance add-ons making up that figure. One for ladies if nothing else.
Maybe Levy has another little surprise up his sleeve in the striker department too.

You know what, that's not a bad deal. I'm not against this - as long as we don't give up on Janssen, I would be pretty happy with that. Llorente would be fine as a backup/Giroud option for a year, and then we can re-evaluate Janssen's spot in the side upon his return.
