The referee's application of the laws of the game is poor and is not conducive to a team wanting to play a passing game. Chelsea set up defensively, knowing they would get plenty of leeway to foul our players and proceeded in taking liberties throughout the match.
I don't think the ref even gave most of them as fouls, many were waved on.

whether dembele was being blocked or not he still committed a foul, opposing players can both commit at the same time
the lino must have seen the handball from lloris, the fault may well of been theirs rather than atkinsons but "the officials" either let it go or didn't see it, irrespective of which their incompetence benefited us there

You're correct, he did this a few times and he's poor understanding of the advantage rule doesn't help either.
FFS, I'm hating the clam even more than that Alan Shearer clam!
This is why we need linesmen on all four sections and/or a video ref. I think it was Alderweireld who was stood next to it probably blocking the linesman's view too.
You're right that should have been given, but if the officials got everything right they should have done, i think it would have tipped the balance well back into our favour.

I know, and normally I agree with that, but in this instant I just think the dive was far too obvious and premature. And Son's tackle was not even close to being dangerous; hence Moses didn't jump to avoid injury, he dived to secure a penalty.
For me; had Moses run into Son's legs and then dived, or had Moses jumped (not dived) to avoid a potential leg break/career ending injury, it would've been a penalty all day long for me. The way this all happened, though, no penalty, because Moses chickened out and tried to overdo it.
I realise I'm probably wrong as far as rules and regulations are concerned, but that's my take on it.

maybe, but we can't setup expecting that because it never happens, chelsea were smarter than us yesterday, they played the pitch and the officials, we turned up and tried to play football, and thats why we lost

Poch talks about his football philosophies and that he is a manager that will tweak the tactics a little but he is not one who will abandon his core principles. He wants to win by dominating the ball and goes about setting up his teams to do this.
I'm happy for Poch to stick with his way but I also understand those who would like to see him modify his tactics to counter act certain opponents.

I also would've been happier in defeat, if you know what I mean
,,had we lost with the same eleven starters of our previous games.Ideally , Wanyama should've been a bench starter bought on later to stiffen our midfield defending a lead. Well that would've been my game plan.
We don't need to change the way we play, we can do it all off the field.
In the run up to the match Poch could say "Last time he reffed us in a semi final he was weak and got a lot of decisions wrong. This time we expect him to give all the decisions Chelsea's way, so we'll have to be significantly better than them."
Put all the pressure on the ref ahead of the match and ensure that he can't help the opposition like he did.
If he does it anyway, he can say something like "Clearly Atkinson hasn't been bought by dodgy Russians, i think he's too honest for that. But if he had been bought, that's precisely how his performance would have looked."
Keep himself the right side of the FA, but really pressurise the authorities into watching people like him carefully.

Ok. 24 hours on. I am calm. For what it is worth, here are my thoughts
1. Atkinson was awful. Not biased. Just awful. That game was reffed by Luiz.
2. Their back 5 were magnificent.
3. Son at left back was a mistake
4. Even if we are a better football team than them, we are still their bitches. We still have a little way to go mentally if we are to realise our potential.
5. I am still angry.

I think that all it would have taken was for a few of our players to get in Atkinson's face during breaks in play and ask him how many of those is he going to let go before he does something and ask if we are allowed free hits too.
