*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea Rent Boys F.A Cup SF ***

Good GHod I did not realise it was that bad haha yeah 91 since we last got to a cup final, still can not believe it was that long ago.
I had just left Middle School when Gazza last got us to an FA Cup final, I'm now going grey and a couple of my former classmates have children who are at university!

Dunno what has hurt more over the decades, losing to local rivals (Chavski and ARSEnal twice apiece) or dross we really should've beaten (Everton, Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Portsmouth)

Now is when we find out what this team are made of.
Don't let up in the league, everyone is saying this a fatal blow for us this season, so let's hope Chelsea think that and think they can coast. It's never easy switching back on when your mind wanders at this stage of the season
Exactly what I had in mind when I said that a loss in the cup might be a blessing in disguise, as far as the league is concerned.

Just finished re-watching the game.
From the back row of the upper tier, I had a great view, but you do miss some of the the finer points - such as was there a referee on the pitch. I can't believe it took over 92 minutes for Kante to get booked. Very poor performance from Atkinson.
It still feels incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Disappointing that this young team have not reached the final they deserve. Frustrating because the goals we conceded were goals we would not normally concede and because we were the better team overall. Without the early goal for them it could all have been very different. It threw our confidence and we looked nervy and edgy. Full credit to the players for getting back into the game and dominating for the most part. Pulling level twice against this Cheatski team is no mean feat.

I can't be angry. I'm proud of the players who did not stop trying. Eriksen was fantastic again and my, what a pass that was for Dele's goal Dembele was a colossus as usual.
I am absolutely certain the events of yesterday had an effect on the final preparations - on Poch for sure, and some of the team. Not to make excuses, we need to get more clinical and today we were up against an experienced side who knew how to make their few chances count.
We still have the opportunity to finish the season strongly and a confident win on Wednesday will set us up wonderfully for the NLD.
It's not over yet.

(Oh - and maybe we need to let Harry take a few more free kicks. That was freakily absurd today).[/

Who are these tossers? How many in the ground today were around when Cheat$ki were in the old second division and they were getting 8000 or so at Stamford Bridge? Hardly anyone supported these cnuts before all the mafia money rolled in. They're a joke club.

Plastic tossers. The 8000 or so that used to drub into that horrible brickttole back then were usually busy throwing bananas at their own players or hissing like the vile knuckle-dragging cretins they are. Despicable.

the size of that wembley pitch and the speed at which it plays troubles me..we don't look as imperious as we do at The Lane.

Don't forget how the Shed Dwellers used to just stand there and tinkle on each other.

Right.
Read through from p 35 onwards.

1) I agree, Poch made selection errors. I think he worked too hard to squeeze Sonny and Victor in. Would've liked Sonny off the bench as an option.
2) Poch is allowed a pass. He is losing increasingly LESS games with us. We are improving rapidly. He learns quickly as do we.
3) Moses took a dive. Sonny made the decision easier, but it was a clear dive.
4) Atkinson is a WEAK, febrile 'referee'. Alonso should've had a yellow inside 15 minutes. He'd have a red inside 45 with any real referee. Cante should've been carded. As for Luiz, come on! The ref was a massive, massive terwatt!
5) I seem to remember Alli getting fouled in the box right after the second equalizer but getting nothing?
6) We were the better team.
7) Let's get Zaha in!
8) The league is not over.
9) I sincerely hope all our supporters have the courage and fortitude not to whitter on about 'won't win a trophy ever' and that sort of utter negative twaddle. Grow a pair and believe what is being built...COYS

p.s. Eriksen was excellent today!

We don't seem to manage the space defensively at Wembley nearly as well as at WHL. Which is a real worry for next season, hope we put it off for one more year.

I went to bed last night at 9:30. I was truly gutted, I believed we were going to beat them. When Alli slotted home that incredible pass from Eriksen we were just too good for them and there was only one winner.....then Hazard came on.

I don't know how Alonso wasn't booked in the 1st half, or Kante. I can't believe Sonny gave away the pen, even those Moses dived to get it I gave it in real time too.

The ref was appalling and I think lost control of the game.

However, we need to put this behind us, and finish the season strongly. We won't win the league because I cannot see Chelsea dropping points now, but let's cement our 2nd place.

I think the answer to that yesterday was not starting with either Rose or Walker.
The two best wing-backs in the country.
It would slightly inconvenience any side. Look at the chavskis at Man U without Alonso last week, not in Rose's league yet threw chalks a wobbler...

I'd disagree.

We haven't had Lamela all season so we don't have anyone in the category of Hazard/Willian to replace one of our main three.
Batshuayi, probably has more quality football under his belt, playing in France is a step up from the Netherlands, so he's probably further along development wise than Janssen.
Lastly, I love Winks, but Fabregas is an experienced senior pro with years of Champion's League football and league winners medals.

Pedro, Hazard and Willian are their main 3, like Eriksen, Alli and Som are ours

Fine re Batshuayi and Fabregas

But in any case it wasn't those two who contributed to Chelsea's win today - it was 3 moments of quality from Willian, Hazard and Matic, and one moment of stupidity from Son playing out of position

Alonso 5 fouls before yellow
Luiz 7 before yellow
Kante 8 before yellow

Did Luiz even get booked? He should have, but I must have missed that.

It's always the big decisions that get called out when officials get them wrong as they tend to be directly game changing : pen/no pen; offside/onside etc. In this case because it wasn't a bad tempered, fractious game, there's no comment on everything Atkinson let go, and it makes us sound like we are making excuses. We are not,and there were things we could have done differently that might have impacted the game in our favour as much as Atkinson getting the little things right. But letting the same players foul over and over without barely speaking to them, never mind booking them, just allowed Cheatski to keep on fouling to break up our play as they knew they could get away with it.
Would Luiz have put in the same "MOTM'" performance if he had been booked early on (or at all)? Was Alonso ever really in fear of getting sent off? And Kante just had free rein.

Again, it's not all down to the referee by any means. But his deficiencies should not go unmentioned.
