*** Tottenham Hotspur vs Scum OMT ***

He's played 10 games ffs, do you write off every player that quick, if so thank fvck you don't manage Spurs.

Dont worry. Remember George Weah's cousin who came to the Premier League. I dont need 10 games to know if a 22 year old striker is going to fit in. I can give time to Onomah, Winks, Harrison but not a 22 year old international whose only strength is holding the ball up and throwing himself about the pitch in Spurs' colours. He is not good enough in Spurs colours. That is enough for me to know. He is one of the worst strikers that I have watched in Spurs colours in the last 20 years. Only Rasiak, Ginger Pele and someone else whose name escapes me (Barnard??) have tinkled me off more! An half fit Kane looked better than him!

GOOD RESULT FOR THE TEAM!! I KNEW WE WOULD COME BACK!!

Annoyed we seem to settle for a draw. Janssen should have scored. Eriksen should have scored. Neither easy chances.

Main things is we played well. Too many draws though. We play well when behind, but lack something to see it into a win.

Now that is weird because I thought the opposite. Couple of times at the end I was shouting for Rose to take it to the corner flag and he didnt and got crosses in or kept it live. In fact we had a couple of great chances to win it and for Janssen's awful technqiue and the woodwork we might have

If there was a league for draws... A good point away when we were missing Toby and Lamela. Our attack would benefit from playing the same team for a run of games. And Poch might rotate in phases.

Somehow we need to score more to get some confidence in the attack. Great to see Kane back.

Expected a lot more to come from them, especially in the closing minutes. Happy to take the point, on balance, but we surely have to get back to winning ways against the Spammers.

We came for a point and we got it, good result and it means City and Arsenal don't gain ground on us this weekend, only Chelsea (and probably Liverpool).

We posed more of a threat 2nd half, we ran at them more, especially Rose and Dembele. Son too.

Overall, we deserved a point and now we can regroup after the international break.

Great to have Harry back, Moussa back to form today too. Just get Toby fit and we're laughing.

Thought we were the better team over the 90 minutes. Shame we couldn't get the win. Didnt get much of the rub of the green today.

Felt we were unlucky not to win. We certainly had the best chances 2nd half. Thought Janssen played well and if there was any doubt how important Moussa is to our team then today showed why. Was hoping gorgeous George might get a run at the back line. Middlesbrough showed with Traore that they are scared of Pace and Son was very effective IMO.

Phew. As I said before the game, I'm happy with the point. However, I'm *much*, *much* happier with the unorthodox formation we employed, and the relatively greater attacking instinct we displayed for the first 60-odd minutes when we weren't under pressure. It shows that Poch *does* have flexibility, he *can* change a non-functioning system, and we *can* play the better for it. So thanks for the bravery, Poch, and well done on the point.

The lads all played well today - even Wimmer, who grew into the game in the second half. If I had to nitpick, I'd say Janssen didn't initially do his job when he came on, and we were put under pressure for a while - however, he got better as extra time dawned, and did a decent job those last few minutes in terms of holding up the ball and drawing fouls. My MotM has to be either Rose or Verts - both were imperious, both could easily claim it. Leaning towards Rose, though, because he had to work his flank by himself.

Good point at the Scum. Always nice to send them hope the unhappier. And very happy with the way we played and the formation we adopted - again, it portends a better future for us regardless of whether our barren run from open play continues, because it shows that Poch can tinker and change. I'd have said that even if we lost, although I'm glad it didn't come to that.

Good job, lads. Good job, Poch. Hope our lads get rested up over the break (no stupid call-ups, please) and come back firing, Alli and Toby included, when we resume two weeks from now. :)

Rebrov, that forward from Portugal - can't remember his name. (And quite a few more going back through the years) If we play Janssen and Kane in a 3-5-2 I think he will score a few.

Fair enough. The win was there for both sides. Just some of our team seem to be shagged or not believing at the end. That last quarter of the game, if there is a massive collective desire to win it, to focus, to work the ball and score we'd might get over the line. Son jumping Chech, need a bit more desire in that last quarter.

Not won in the league for a month, no goals from open play in 9 hours, but amazingly still 3 points clear in 5th spot

Indeed Poch seems to like this 3-5-2 in certain positions e.g. the Southampton game.

Also, I wouldn't mind us playing 352 a bit more if it allows Son and Kane to play upfront together. I think they have the makings of a very dangerous strike partnership. Janssen can rotate with either.

Agree there. That was wimpish
