If we had lost 2:1 we could have maintained the moral high ground despite defeat, but loosing 5:1? WTF

We are Spurs. We hate the high ground. So much so that we will happily concede three more goals and lose 5-1, so we can occupy the dark, dank caves the 'underdogs' share.

Horrible stuff today yet again, but you have to deal with it and get on with the game. Unfortunately for us the team lost it's confidence and didn't seem to try as hard as the ****s. And when you concede like we did at the end, you have to look at the workrate.

Make sure you include the Kyle Walker handball at the end of the Fulham game that gave us all three points when they should have rightly had a penalty

think we just need to have goal line technology. would solve half of the problems at present.

in the future I could see a system with handball's, offsides, yellows, and reds all under instant video review at a centralised location much like the NHL where reviews are quick and dont slow the flow of the game at all. Honestly.. whats the hold up at this point

There's such a thing as a ref-proof performance though. The reason so many decisions go against us is because we put ourselves in the position for things to go against us too frequently, as we did for Chelsea's "goal" today. What should also be questioned is the defending leading up to it. It's not a conspiracy.

We have had goals incorrectly ruled out, but if we had played to our potential from the beginning they wouldn't have made a difference and we would have won anyway. Like at Stoke. The biggest problem was the 2 goals we let in.

That argument about reviews slowing down the flow of the game is a ridiculous anyway. Look at Drogba today. He cynically stopped the flow of the game when we were in a good spell of pressure by staying down for an age.

Only last week Norwich had a big decision go against them and yet still carried on to win the game. It would be almost Liverpoolesque to just to play the victim and say the ref beat us.

No-one else mentioned that we have had Atkinson (Chelsea's personal ref) for both our last two games with them? I remember two years ago his record when reffing them was Chelsea had won 18 or the 19 games or something. Can't find recent figures but if ever there was a bent ref.

As mentioned, the Gallas/Drogba incident in the first half, along with the ball not over the line really would make you wonder. It would be interesting to see betting patterns before the game. For me, its oddly more the Gallas one as I cant recall ever seeing a striker trip up a defender and go through on goal without giving a foul away, it was just too unbelievable.

I think Adebayor did this to Stalteri in the last game at Highbury in 2006. Henry scored.

It was a shocking decision I think we all degree. But that should not excuse our feeble performance, we gave away another 3 goals for fcuk sake

Kind of like when Man Utd were awarded a dodgy decision against us. Sure another shocking decision but that does not justify our pathetic capitulation after they scored from the penalty

You don't think the two are in any way linked?

It was so obvious that we would crumble after that decision. The players had their excuse and by GHod did they take it. Most teams use injustice to spur them on, not tottenham though, they just lie on the floor with a blanket pulled over their heads waiting to tell their mummy what happened.......

The frustrating thing is that the referee has to be sure it crossed the line to award a goal. Now I can understand the Mendes at Old Trafford goal, both ref and linesman were a long way away, if they were unsure (despite it being miles over) they cant give it. But with the "goal" yesterday and the one at Stamford Bridge last season, the ball didn't cross the line. How can a ref be 100% sure of something that didn't happen? He guessed. And surely he must realise if he is having to make a guess in the first place, then he isn't 100% sure. It stinks

Exactly. He went on the fact that Mata, who should be ashamed of himself, started celebrating.

I'm too young to remember 1991 and don't really remember 1993 particularly well. So out of the four FA Cup semis I've seen Spurs get to, three of them have been ruined by absolute jokes of refereeing decisions.

Papers are using the above image today so maybe it isn't photoshopped after all and it was a lot closer than we thought?

Not that it was a goal.

There have been some horrible decisions that have gone against us, but this thread is so typically Spurs. Poor us. Feel sorry for us. Everyone else's fault but ours.
