Serious relegation fears

I think the Norwich game was their wake-up call. They should look at it and think "OK, we had two weeks off and almost slipped, no more performances like that."

What's funny though is that half the Arsenal fans online now are saying that their league campaign is over and that the only thing that matters is beating us and stopping us from catching Leicester. How times have changed.

Kante goes of and they had no idea how to cover his space

Personally I thought a draw at OT might have been the best result. Would have still gained 2pts on Arsenal and would have 11pts clear of 5th, but more importantly 12pts clear of United.
They are getting their act together and are the clearest danger to us getting CL football. That is the first target in my eyes, may well be negative but I am still looking behind yet and I doubt will change until we play them. Avoiding defeat v them and West Ham is key

yep i would prefer us finishing as far in front of man u as possible, they are starting to get wins and have players to come back

No way for me. Absolutely no way at all. United win all day. Would have rather seen them smash Arsenal, but a 3-2 win did just fine.

I will happily accept some risk that we won't get 4th for an increased chance of winning the league.

So many tough matches left still. If we're still in it come May, we'll have a chance.

West Ham (A)
Arse*al (H)
Villa (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Liverpool (A)
Man UTD (H)
Stoke (A)
West Brom (H)
Chelsea (A)
So'ton (H)
Saudi Sportswashing Machine (A)

Only 4-5 of those I expect us to win, which won't be enough. But this team of our's have got balls this season. I'm just worried we're not efficient enough (as we've shown time and again). We need to pull out a couple more City away performancs in terms of efficiency if we're to have a chance of winning the title.

I'm still far, far away from believing we can win, to be honest. We can, of course, but too many hurdles still for there to be any real glimmer of hope for it to happen for me. Been following this team for too long.
I'll be here cheering every step of the way though! GET fudgeING IN, BOYS! :D

To win the league we'll have to get some more great results. We've already picked up quite a few of those this season and we have it in us to pick up more...

Right now I'd say none of those teams will be looking forward to playing us in our current form. Will be all "they have fixture congestion", "perhaps their form will drop a bit by then", "Alli is just a teenager, surely he can't keep playing like this", "Lloris is only the third best goalkeeper in the world"...

I would actually take one loss and a victory over two draws.

If you want me confident then you have to give me booze

We don't have to win every game to reach our targets.

We should have course try to win both games, but 4 points from the next two games would be a good return for me.

Everyone keeps saying Leicester will crumble as they are now the favourites, but ourselves Leicester and Arsenal have not won the league in 50 years, never and 12 years respectively. You can't write Emirates Marketing Project off of course, but it's not like they have United and Fergie or Chelsea under Mourinho or Ancelotti breathing down their necks. Let's just say for arguement's sake that we are in the same situation points wise in 6 games fron now i.e. Leicester two points clear of us, 5 of scum, they won't be fending off teams that are used to winning titles in recent years.

The conclusion to be drawn is this is the most unprectictable season in the premier league ever and trying to predict it is pointless.

My head says we have been the best team just slightly over Leicester, but I for one still won't be getting my hopes up until we can possibly get to mid April still in a similar position.

I can understand Arsenal fans frustration, the league has been gift wrapped for them this season just like the FA cup was the last 2 seasons. That said, I look at their team today and I have to fancy our chances of beating them next weekend. 4 points from the next two games would be an excellent return.

Glad United won today too. If we can't finish above them then we don't deserve CL football. 5 wins from the last 11 would almost certainly ensure we finish in the top 4.

In terms of recent performances we've been way ahead of them. They've gotten results though, just like all season, have to give them that.

I can see us winning 6 out of the 11. That would not be enough for the title but should certainly give us 4th place....amazing that right now we would not be at all happy with 4th!! Let's see what our expectations are by next Saturday evening.

Interesting as our form now has been solid for about 20 games and were averaging 2 points a game with a poor start

Yes we have some hard games left but who doesn't

I think we can keep the 2 points a game going and that will be ample for champions league and may well be nigh for the premier league too

I think the Monday night games will be a proble as we will be playing catch up again but then the players here are used to that and IMO have a belief that us fans simply dont have as were Spurs though and through and these guys are made of a very different material

Statistician Michael Caley has us at a 32% chance of the title, with Arse at 31% and Leicester 29%.

Significantly, he's got our chances of making the top 4 as high as 97%.

I'm starting to believe...

We are playing the best and most consistent football in the league. We've scored the most goals and conceded the fewest in the whole division. The momentum is definitely with us. And what's encouraging is that Arsenal have shown a tendency to completely implode at times this season. We haven't lost by more than one goal in any game in any competition and have only lost three in the league - Arsenal have lost twice as many already. We haven't conceded more than two in a game in any competition, Arsenal have conceded three or more on six different occasions this season. What's really interesting is that since the start of November (around the time we played them last), Arsenal have only taken 26 points from 16 games, which is the form of a 6th/7th placed team over almost half a season! It seems like a key difference between us and them that our team appears to take every defeat as a wake up call and we then go on a strong run afterwards, whereas they seem to take a few games to get out of a rut and regain form.

I keep looking at our remaining fixtures and wondering how on earth we can possibly expect to stay in this title race. We really need to be top with a few points cushion going into April if we're to stand any chance of staying there. But then Poch has done a very good job in the big games so far. And we have two absolutely massive ones coming up this week.

Are we possibly the most disadvantaged team in the PL in terms of teams (and their fans) really desperate to beat us?

It seems to me we have more "derbies" - with other fans whipped up in a frenzy to beat us - than any other team.

Leicester - maybe WBA and Aston Villa
Arsenal - Spurs, Chelski and Man U
Man U - Man C, Liverscum, Chelski and Arsnl
Man C - Man U, Chelski, maybe Liverscum
Spurs - Arsnl, Chelski. Spammers, Palace, Livescum, maybe ManUre

Does this not make it doubly difficult (yet undoubtedly more satisfying) if we could defy all odds and win it!

Edit - for some reason the spellchecker turned "satisffying into "crack covering"!!!!

Fudge me I'm already nervous about the NLD - completely accept that Spammers (a) will be hard but the magnitude of this Saturday's game is huge. We could end them with a win. My heart says we have too much for them plus the crowd will be a huge factor. COYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am more worried that people forget there is 11 matches to go in this season. NO ONE WINS THE LEAGUE IN FEBRUARY!! Lets focus one game at a time. West Ham is up next. Spurs are doing well. As Poch said in the post game interview, the next game is the most important one. Enjoy the moment but prepare for Wednesday.

May we destroy the Spammers' European dreams.

I really need some extensive exercise, otherwise I will have an heart attack before the end of April...

West Ham are trying their best to destroy everyone else's European dream by bitch slapping the English coefficient. Only serves them right that we ruin their European dream...

Agreed that it's one game at the time. But at the same time it's whoever tops the league 11 matches from now that actually wins the thing. Let's not let individual results seem more important than they actually are.
