***OMT: Tottenham Hotspur v West 'Am United - WHL, Sun 22nd Feb, KO - 12pm

Except we had the most possession and created the most chances.

Possession schmosession. It means nada unless you use the ball effectively.

Chances meaning long shots from way outside the penalty area for me is a low conversion likelihood.

Lloris made two brilliant saves at 0-2. Apart from Bentelabs rocket and Kane's dribble against the post, we didn't test Adianne until the last ten minutes when we were brought back into the game by Roses' freak goal and then equalised from a needlessly given away soft penalty.

For me, it was a totally unconvincing performance.

We didnt play well today. West Ham should have killed us off and they would have won at a canter if hippo head had not brain farted his subs.

They seemed to cut us open easily, we couldnt create a clear opening.

27 attempts on goal, 7 corners and 65% of possession but we were massively lucky, ok BFS

unfortunately, you are asking BFS to change the habits of a lifetime. sorry. won't happen. bell.end.massivo.sammus.

Just saw Pochs interview. He said he thought we deserved to win. That is very worrying for me. If he can't see that we were sh1te then we really have very major problems.

We got out of jail today and got something we certainly didn't deserve. He needs to find a way to break down teams that use these tactics. He has failed to do this all season and the use of inverted wingers further crowding the congested middle isn't it. We desperately need a Plan B.

We did deserve to win. That doesn't mean we played particularly well.
EDIT - in reply to a later post of yours, Soldado had an excellent shot which Adrian did exceptionally well to save, Rose got in behind and drifted his header just over, their second goal should've been offside (IMO) no we did enough to win today and Adrian had to have some form to keep us out early-doors. We did not play particularly well and a lot of players seemed to be missing a dimension with regards to focus, but despite that I still think a win would not have been absolutely undeserved. I agree we got slices of luck in the goals we DID get, but we earned them for ploughing on and in through minute 95. Let's face it, West 'Am did not come to play football, they came to steal. Our new mentality got us through today. It is why anybody writing off the top 4 today, February 22nd, is playing a fool's game, because this lot don't know when they're 'beaten' which is a great spirit to develop.

That was easy for WHU today, they should have won and won well, I wonder if we could do with a couple of older heads in the side, when you think we had Corluka and Lennon on the right and now we have Walker and Townsend for me that is not progress, we are a young team and we need to be patient but the way we give the ball away is alarming, we can blame the defence but because of our brick passing they have not got a chance.

I am seriously going to chalk it up as a one-off bad day at the passing/possession office. Mason had a bad one, even Eriksen was off when he came on. Something wasn't right but I think it was a bad day not a worrying sign. My view anyway.

The way we give the ball away cheaply and quickly our defence can never get "set", its our throw in and a number of times Walker just throws it into a 50/50 we lose the ball and it comes straight back on us, we still massively lack a "leader", I thought Bentaleb and Rose today were very good.

Overall we had a lot of chances, despite being poor. We could have won that as easily as lost it.

Also West Ham are actually not a bad side these days. Ok I'll wash out my mouth now

I disagree. It is not that we didn't play well it's more that wet spam came and did a job, BFS packed the midfield and defence as he always does and this is their cup final remember. BUT we still had good chances to convert, Kane's early shot that hit the post, rose played through beautifully by Kane, eriksen' free kick. I thought on the balance of play we deserved the draw. We lost 3 times to these Cnut's last season so I'm happy that we have beaten them in the last minute and snatched a draw in the last minute hopefully their fans crying into their cornflakes tomorrow at what could have been.

I have no idea why Big Sam is acting all victimised over the penalty. Kane was clearly clipped by Song, and this was a good 10 seconds before the stoppage time was over - so what's with this flimflam of calling off the match after Kane missed the pen? Makes no sense. Would've been beyond ridiculous had he done that.

Even though we had a bad day at the office, we were better than Wet Spam today, created far more chances than they did, and thoroughly deserved the point in the end, I thought.

Scoring so many late goals reminds me of the top sides and it means whoever we are playing know they need to keep playing until the last second. That for me is an important step towards establishing a winning mentality.

BFS is trying to deflect attention away from his side losing a 2 goal lead against the auld enemy. Tbh they were lucky with their second goal when they had a player in the penalty box who was offside.

People wondering why we had an off-day performance wise? Europa League returns. I think it highlights just how difficult it is to get a performance out of the team Sunday after playing Thursday and not having the time to properly plan for the opponents and develop a match strategy as we're planning for Fiorentina and training for playing them right until the end of the week.

Still, as some have said, to be 2-0 down with 10 minutes to go and to get a point just points to the resilience found under Poch. The amount of late winners and equalisers are like Fergie's Man Utd. The attitude of the players and the team are spot on and we graft out points even when we're not playing well.

Spot on. I just could not believe people around us left with other ten minutes to go, never mind two. I have never known a Spurs team score so many late vital goals in one season.
Okay it is slightly worrying we need to have to keep scoring them, but it is a great trait to have in a team, and long may it keep happening. Next Sunday would be a particularly satisfying time to score a last minute winner, even better if rebounds of the back of Soldado's ars#

West Ham singing 'Oh when the Spurs, go 2-0 down. Oh when they Spurs go two nil down'

Oh how I laughed when Kane scored..two nil and you f#cked it up. Now p#ss off back to Pikey Central

I doubt you will find anyone outside partial Spurs fans who think we actually deserved to win today.

Horrible game to watch as a Spurs fan; we were ѕhіt apart from the first 15 or so minutes. Dembele was turbo-ѕhіt. A hideous caricature of ourselves, unforced error after unforced error making life far too easy for a mediocre opponent.

I was drunk and emotional, ok? ;)

What I meant to say was that our first goal completely changed the feel of the match and the atmosphere within the stadium.

We deserved a draw, but the greedy part of me felt that we could and perhaps should have taken all three points.. Such is life. Sorry for the contradictory and poorly worded post.
