i'd hate to think (although quite funny now
) that Ade Kaboul Capoue came over all self righteous and picked on the young ones, thinking they'll just take it and wont stand up for themselves.
Well unfortunately (for them) our academy boys have a big set of kahunas, (as proven everytime they pull on our lilywhite shirt) and gave it back to the self-awareness bypass crew. i mean, how can you hang any blame on mason or kane?
To compound things Kaboul then used his rank to go the boss and complain about the young upstarts, adding the majority of the squad was behind him.
This is where Poch impresses me. He doesn't see stars and big personalities, he sees footballers all here to do job for THFC. They're all equal until proven otherwise.
And Kaboul & co may just have proven otherwise. If Poch caught him bullsh*tting, he's called him out on it.
In the long run these moments are good for the team. w*nkers are weeded out and the boss gains massive kudos with the rest of the squad for being strong and fair. And a few more fully buy-in and run thru brick walls for him.
And after Sunday you can see beneath the slightly smiley exterior he's pleased as punch about what the team has just done.

Problem is if we want him out of the club in Jan then we probably have to do a similar deal to the one which we did with Man C for him - ie low fee and us subsidising part of his wages. No team which would want him would be able to afford his wages. At best he might go to a Villa type club, if you could find a manager which will take the risk on him, or we're going to have to flog him abroad
Or we make him train with Benny and dock him wages every time he's late.
Better off selling him for £1m (or £1) and paying 75% of his wages, than keeping him around......

I sure don't want a fee for him and i'm sure his wages have dropped to £100,000 a week. Thats do-able for quite a few clubs and if there is no fee then loans are possible as well until his crontact is up.
Failing that i'm sure we could crowdfund his exit.
How many clubs who would want him could afford £100k per week?!? Team who wouldnt want him are Man C, Man U, Cheatski, LIverpool, Everton, ****. Out of the other 13 in the league, I cant see many paying that wage, especially when you consider the risk of his personality

He's out of contract in June, so it would only be a 5-6 month arrangement, not like the 3 years he had left at City
I think he's go to QPR or somewhere like Turkey.

They're even less likely to be able to afford him!!

It's an odd one. It's officially recorded as 2015 most places, but he's said himself that it's till 2016.
I think the understanding is that he signed a 3+1 one, but it's the clubs prerogative to extend or not.

Or maybe (and I'm hoping...is anyone else?) it was more a case of a club captain and vice captain - two experienced and seasoned PL pros - showing they care and taking responsibility and having a word with some younger players in the dressing room after a bad home loss in the midst of a team trying to find form with a new manager. There would be nothing shocking to me about that and likely happens many times at many clubs. Also quite common for a club captain to have dialogue with a manager. I realize that wouldn't be as juicy or 'funny' or something to be 'happy' about, but for me I'd be a lot happier if that were in fact the case. Of course, other clubs and the media will be only too happy to see a circus sideshow in the midst of our ranks.

I don't think anyone would have believed any of it if the 3 players involved hadn't been mysteriously absent from the squad ever since.
Dembele and Eriksen also dropped odd lines in interviews about 'clear the air talks' and 'the first match we've had together' (after Hull) etc.

Really? In the subsequent squad or not, I'm inclined to think some may still have ran with it, made a meal of it, and either believed it or wanted to believe it. But hey, maybe you are right GB, and I hope you are, maybe nobody would have ever believed a word of it. I'll say this, tho. Before it all started, if I had to predict which 3 players would be involved/implicated, those 3 would have been very near the top of my list. That in and of itself likely means nothing and yes, may very well just be a coincidence.

I think that it is very likely that there is some truth in it but I do wonder if people would have been as willing to run with it if it did not confirm their prejudices.
