Other Clubs Transfer Thread

this could be clubs and club owners helping each other out of FFp sanctions / binds?

As others have stated Luiz is not worth anywhere near a fee rising to a potential £50m, it does make you wonder why PSG would payout that much for a player who provides no upgrade on the players they have, unless they plan to sell either Silva or Marquinhos perhaps.

How would it help them though. Ultimately it hinders PSG Because of their already dodgy position

I'd get it to a point if it was Arab to Arab or Oligarch to Oligarch

I just think they actually think he is good because he is Brazilian

That's the thing, why would PSG do this to help out Chelsea?

I think there's a chance we'll see smaller teams (without European ambitions, or well within FFP regulations) spend over the top for some rejects at clubs like Chelsea, City or PSG with some money going to the owner of the smaller teams through other lines.

Rumour now they are bidding for Hazard..

wonders if Hazard has a sell on fee with Lille and if PSG sign for 10m then the other deal averages it out. A bit like the rumoured Monaco deal for Porto pair Moutinho and Rodriguez

if that happens you have to applaud Chelsea and PSG for smart thinking

Didn't we do it with Zamora and Etherington to West Ham? Must have screwed Peterborough out of at least a few grand.

Funny, I should read this now. I just posted elsewhere about how clubs could use cross-sponsorships and inflated transfers to get around FFP.

There is only so much a club can get in inflated sponsorships. PSG are under sanction and anything else from Qatari sources will be watched closely. Say a company like Gazprom, with links to Abramovich, were to sponsor PSG, then PSG buy a player from Chelsea at an inflated price, effectively allowing Gazprom to pay money to Chelsea. PSG get their players, Chelsea get some nice money from a related source.

Tom Ince is flying to Milan for talks over a move to Inter. Benfica and Monaco also keen

Good luck to him.

Zarate going to West Ham on a three year deal. I think he'll be a good signing for them.

yeah i agree. theres going go to be so many dodgy deals occuring due to ffp. and it can take place in so many forms too. teams could buy "first options" for players etc

at the end of the day all that is going to happen is more money is going to leave the game through accountants and agents

by a considerable distance.

How come Pulis didn't get him playing regularly? Has he had injuries or was it more a case of Palace going for hard-working players to get results.

i guess it just shows football really is a game of opinions. at one end, tony pulis doesn't select him for a relegation battling side, but on the other end, he is wanted by inter milan. tbh, i'm quite surprised some of the top 4 sides aren't after him, considering inter milan want him. with all the home grown quotas, he would seem a good option to have. similar to why Emirates Marketing Project bought sinclair, rodwell etc

maybe he didnt play because puncheon, bolasie, thomas and gayle were on fire in the 2nd half of the season. and combined with his injury, maybe he just didnt get a look in

Sterling is better than him, so I guess Liverpool wouldnt want to re-sign him although I think he'll be a good signing for them.
Wouldnt be too bad at Man Utd, but maybe they feel Zaha can fulfill his potential, with LVG being a man who tends to get the best out of what he has, we could see Zaha more.
Doesn't strike me as a Chelsea or Arsenal signing.

I've said it before but I'll say it again anyway.... While Ince can play out wide to good effect I think he will end up playing in a central attacking role (either the attacking central midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 or a withdrawn forward number 10 role). He is a proper footballer as opposed to being a head down winger.

I would have no problem if we moved Lennon on this Summer and brought Ince into the squad as I think he will better fit the formation and tactics of our likely new manager.
