Blaine's seems unrealistic so I left him out.

The only England lb I can think of from the last ten years is the guy who was at reading then went to villa, nickey Shorey.

Cole has owned lb for years with only bridge and baines as 'competition'

The ITK said 'English', not 'England'. If you include the Championship there should be quite a few possibilities.

I'd rather see him work with a more progressive coach, but hey - any port in a storm.

Will be very pleased if it's not permanent. LVG needs to be the one to make a final decision on him.
 
I'd similarly like to see us loan Capoue to Liverpool. I think that would be a good arrangement for both clubs as they are crying out for a player like him.

I don't see them as a rival. Longer term we're well ahead of them, but shorter term we won't get near them. Everton and United are our rivals for 5-7th this season. Next season we should be pushing Arsenal and Chelsea for 2nd.
 
No reason why we shouldn't be aiming for top 4 whilst we can still get there. Liverpool's defence makes them vulnerable. Don't dismiss our top 4 chances, at least not just yet.

But pool aren't our rivals for 4th even though we'll be on equal points if we win tomorrow?

It'll be a different story after City obliterate us. In Feb and March we've got some hard fixtures again after this winter lull we've had.

But we're rudderless and are infighting. Even our far superior squad doesn't compensate for that.

I second that. Last two games Liverpool have conceded goals against Villa and Stoke, teams we kept clean sheets against.
