***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur v Swansea City, Sunday 19th January 13:30

Got a feeling this will be a draw, 1-1.

Hope I am wrong and we can somehow sneak it considering all our rivals have won at The Liberty. I suppose for me the main thing is not to lose, get 10 days rest in and work on tactics before destroying Emirates Marketing Project at home.

I'd be disappointed with that really considering their poor run of form.

GHod I really hope Tim doesn't persist with 4-4-****ing-2 for this one. We won't see the ball. Thing is, I think he will. In which case an early goal is essential, else Swansea will control it and we'll struggle to make chances.

Bony seems a good player, but if they're without Michi, Dyer and De Guzman then that's good for us, cos they're all good players, whereas I don't think their backups are all that. They are also without Vorm, that Tremmel looked dodgy as f*ck against Emirates Marketing Project. Infact I just had a look and they are without Canas too. With all those injuries they have, it's the perfect time to go there.

We should sneak a win like 1-2 but a draw wouldn't surprise me.

First away I'll not make this season.

Pablo is doubtful too.

Thats impressive, do you mean including the European games as well? If so, I'm even more impressed

Swansea been playing ok in the last few weeks and not getting the results so it all depends how we perform and if we're up for it.....if we stand off them and let them dictate the game like they did against us in the second half last season they will beat us ,fair enough no mitchu on sunday but we need to press them all through the game. We were two up last season doing ok,then they scored and it was like desperation time then.

Got a ticket for the away end but may have a spare for the home section,if anyone wants to sit with the jacks(tidy bunch).

One other point if anyone is catching the train home afterwards if you are passing morrisons supermarket you are going the wrong way, went to see the swans play the goons...... after the game and heard some goons asking for directions for the train station and were sent the wrong way,not sure if they made it home but they were heading in the wrong direction ha ha ha !!

This is their main problem and has always been. With their formation and set up they are much like us early season or indeed just like Southampton. Lots of possesion with the final ball missing and not creating many chances.

I feel their lack of pace will play into our hands and give our back line a bit of respite. They dont really have the creative players of quality that get in bhind the midfield like we had against Le Scum but they will boss possesion i feel. Against United in both games they had the majority of possesion with Uniteds 2 man Midfield. Its going to be down to our wide men to play close to the centre so as our midfield do not get out numbered and for ade to drop a little deeper to help the space between our midfield.

If our wide men and full backs can start to pin back their wide men we could create some chances.

Im going for a 2-1 to us. Goals for Betaleb and Soldado.

They've got a player called Pozuelo.....been under the radar a bit,but he looks like a decent player,a very busy player and can be creative if given time and space, rumours that dyer may be back but i think its too soon.....bony holds the ball up well and is quite a handful hopefully Dawson will mark him and not Chiriches like i said they can be a decent side on their day hopefully not this sunday.

Live round the corner, you only live round the corner...literally

Agree with you about last season. Cruising at HT, really enjoying the day out, but that last 15/20 mins seemed to take forever. I would prefer an easier ride on Sunday, but nothing is ever that easy for us.
Looking forward to another awayday not done one since Everton.
Driving down tomorrow night, hoping the weather holds out too

Wasn't to hopeful in getting one as i was unsuccesful last season, but it was in our dark period between Emirates Marketing Project/liverpool game so not many takers i presume but to cover myself got a ticket for the home end, should sell it on the day.

The weather is going to **** tomorrow but sunday looks ok, i know which hotel they be staying if you fancy an early visit to swansea and a walk on the sea shore on the sunday morning. Where you staying??

I get scared of your predictions.....why do you think we'll lose this one? Curious to know your reasons (tactical or otherwise)

I just think we will. Though if you didn't already know, I'm one of the most pessimistic fans when it comes to match day, I always feel it's the best way to be, expect to lose and much happier with the end result if we don't.

I think he'll pick the exact same line up but with Naughton at right back if I'm honest with you.

Bench:- Friedel, Fryers, Capoue, Defoe, Chadli, Holtby, Townsend.

Is Walker definitely out then? From the team news it sounds as though everyone is in contention to play except for Vertonghen and Kaboul(who are training and should be ok for next week) and Paulinho who still has a week or two.

There's basically only two mid-table teams this year - Southampton and Saudi Sportswashing Machine. Everything below them is just dross, and we've generally done well against this dross so far, getting 28 out of 33 points. We have to keep this up and win all our remaining fixtures against the dross, including Swansea.

I would too. Keep a winning team and run going. Ade and Solly must work harder from the off and Bentyboy must give more protection to the back four and not allow any gaps.

If not working, Lamela for Solly, Townsend for Lennon and Sandro for Bentyboy .

we should be beating them. its only swansea and they are on a poor run while we're on the upturn. and its at HOME!
