Howard Webb

yep had a quick look on redcafe.....Howard Webb wont be getting so many xmas cards from the man utd fans....

They are outraged and feel robbed by dodgy refereeing........ dont you just feel so sorry for them :ross:

Every debatable decision we got was one we were owed. **** the whingy bastards. Webb for president....of something

Not even that debateable decisions though were they? Lloris was possibly outside the box in the first half when he punched, but that really was borderline and they get a free kick from a difficult angle, hardly a game changer. The 2 pen claims weren't pens for me, Welbeck quite clearly dived and should have been booked, Lloris, well 50/50 but so many times they're not given and actually more often than not they're not given!

We're still owed a **** load of decisions against them as far as i'm concerned.

agree regarding the handball

The collision with young is more a pen than not IMO

The wellbeck one was a decision they would have got under Fergie IMO

I still think we could have had a pen when Smalling handballed it out forms corner from a Lennon cross early in the second half IIRC

I love this tweet by Gary Lineker:

When was Howard Webb sold by United? I must have missed that move in the transfer window.

"I still think we could have had a pen when Smalling handballed it out forms corner from a Lennon cross early in the second half IIRC "

This, it looked a blatant penalty to me but in fairness I only saw it once. Was it a penalty? What do you all think?

I thought so too until I saw it from a different angle and it definitely comes off his chest.

I have been listening to Talksport and the Mancs are babbling on about how they should have had a penalty, obviously they have forgotten all the dodgy decisions they have had against us starting from the Pedro Mendes goal

They've had a ton of dodgy decisions at OT against us over the years including Gomes being penalised and a penalty being awarded a few years ago when he certainley got the ball before the man, If I remember correctly we were leading at the time too.

It's all ********, tho c unts have had more than their rub of it. As for Young, FFS, how many times does that sort of challenge happen during a game and play carries on? Look, I'm not going to **** Young for wanting to avoid the collision, I get that, but please, a penalty? Moyes needs to look at the other two ridiculous dives around it too...

We did get away with a couple up there last year too. There were two blatant pens they didn't get (Verts was involved in one IIRC) if I'm not wrong.

But this season, I'm not so sure. Welbeck should have been booked. Terrible dive. Young? Hmmm. Been disappointed to have had a pen given against us but would have been one of those we couldn't have complained about if it was given. Hugo needs to be a bit more careful. For me, he's still not back to his best.

The Hugo handball would have been a booking and a free kick they probably wouldn't have scored from. But it would have been impossible for the officials to give that decison. Twas hard enough trying to see on the replay and none of the officials were in a position to see it properly.

In summary, for me, I thought Webb had a good game. Last season we were luckier because the penalty calls were more clear cut. This season, we probably got away with it but Young is a diving c**t and, as the old cliche goes, these things even themselves out over a season. So f**k off Moyes and focus on your own team's shortcomings.

No it definitely touches the upper part of his arm 100%

Bahahahahaha, there is a poster on there saying Kane should have been booked for kicking the ball away. That sort of ignorance of the rules tells me all I need to know.

If Kane never does anything in a Spurs shirt again then I'll always remember him with fondness for his incredibly quick thinking. Comical and genius in equal measure.

Pretty sure Young came out after all the diving talk and said something along the lines of Its not upto me to stop diving its upto the refs to stop it. Well thats what you get for being a diving, cheating little prick. If that was Rooney on the end of that Lloris foul he would have given penalty.

Young played the ball and Lloris did not alter the outcome of the pass in that respect.

Thats why I think its questionable

Also Rooney should have been booked at one point - last match he got away with 2 other cards. I think this will happen more in the run-up to the World Cup.

Of course, when he gets there he'll have forgotten that he's not allowed to break the laws and will get sent off.

Overall the ref seemed intent on keeping the game going, and did a fair job. BBC only giving Moyles the airwaves .... typical, as he's Man U. They were beaten by more positive play after dominating first 10 mins.

if they didn't dive and complain for everything, perhaps the genuine ones would be taken more seriously.

Dive, dive, dive, foul.. aww ref why not! dive, dive, dive.
