*** Tottenham Hotspur vs Stevenage Borough Official OMT ***

Wouldn't surprise me if there's a few gooners in the crowd for this one, and possibly some Spurs fans in the home end. The two most supported clubs in Stevenage are Arsenal and Spurs. I think a lot of people go and watch boro every week because they can't afford to watch Spurs. I reckon it will be pretty much full strength except for Ledley King, the pitch at Boro is awful! I'd honestly take a 1-0 or 2-0 out of this, won't be as easy as people think.

I expect a near full strength team as plenty of time to recover for scum and want to keep everybody match fit. Also a good time to give some players who are coming back from injury a run out. I would go with...

-------------Friedel-------------

Walker-----Kaboul----Dawson-----Rose

Lennon----Kranjcar---Sandro------Bale

---------Defoe---------Saha--------

1-3 Yids

I would rest/protect certan players from potential injuries

Rested/Bench -> Friedel/Ade/Bale/Modric/King/BAE/(maybe Walker?)

Players that need pitch time -> JD/Saha/Lennon/Kranjcar/Livermore/Dawson/Cudicini/Rose/Sandro (if fit)

What we need to be aware of is, a lot of the teams we are competing with for top 4/title have a midweek games coming up with CL/UEFA/CC/etc. Good change for us to take advantage of being able to rotate for the FA and give our PL 1st team if more rest time.

if true i??d rest a few players for this game (keep them on the bench). we obviously want to go through but at the same time we can??t afford injuries to the likes of ledley, luka, bale, walker, parker.

I'd have to add Bae to that list, as he has played the most minutes of any of our outfield players. Give him a holiday, send him to Disneyworld or something..

I think it'll be:

-------------------- Cudicini
Livermore - Kaboul -- Dawson --- Rose

Lennon ---- Modric --- Sandro -- Kranjcar

----------------- Saha --- Defoe

I'm thinking the same with the exception of Nelson for Kaboul

Subs: Gomes,Kaboul(if fit) or Walker,Ekotto,Parker,Bale,Adebayor,Van der Vaart

Would be tempted to go with 3-4 older bench and 3-4 young players.

The team we're putting out ought to be able to win comfortably, so after 60 minutes, or even sooner, it would be nice to put one or two of the youngsters on to get some match time..

what is mark rollo?
:D Sorry I mean't the legend that is Mike Rollo...who according to legend had hosted his 700th game at White Hart Lane on Saturday as the commercial manager...Not that he'd be buying you a drink...long pockets and short arms come to mind in the company of Mike but a great bloke and the biggest diplomat you'll ever meet in your life!

Think we'll go full strength pretty much but (naively) I REALLy want to go with out second string. It is more than good enough

---------Cudicini----------
Walker---Dawson--Nelson--Rose
Lennon--Livermore--Sandro--Kranjcar
-----------Defoe--Saha

That team would beat most premiership teams never mind Stevenage!

Agreed, but let's rest Kyle and give Kaboul a go on right back. Perhaps even the Bong.

Stevenage played their first match for over two weeks tonight. Won 1-0 at Hillsborough. Not too far off Watford quality wise I think.

I remember going to meet a mate in at Stevenage about 5-6 years ago. They've come on immensely since then. Very impressive.

This will not be a cakewalk! Give some a rest (Bale, Modric, Benny maybe) but only dropping to the bench.. in case it looks like going tits up!

Worse possible result is a draw, we don't need another game. One win we are in the quarter finals, we need a very strong team so as close to full strength as possible the only people I would not play is bale as I don't think a crap pitch will do him any good. They then have a whole week before the arsenal game. That is more than enough also two weeks off is not always a great thing

I would play 244

Dawson and Kaboom at the back

Walker and Rose as wingers with Sandro and Livermore in the middle.

Saha, Defoe, Lennon and Krunchie.

I agree with this.
We should field a second(ish) string starting 11 with a v strong bench. For me, number one priority this season is finishing in the top 3 - automatic qualification for the CL and a better chance of holding onto key players and bringing in big names.
We all love the cup, but for me, we're more than a cup team now - we should be looking at cementing our top 3 status.

Cudicini, Walker, Dawson, Nelsen, Rose, Krancjar, Sandro, Livermore, Dos Santos, Defoe, Saha.

Bench: include Ade, Modric, Bale, King, Friedel, Lennon etc.
