***OMT- Tottenham Hotspur vs Emirates Marketing Project*****

I think his hand was forced with some of those subs, if not all.

Walker clearly injured so you have to put on a full back. We were struggling at left back as it was.
Dawson was a good move, city had stopped trying to play the through ball in so you could afford the slower Dawson for what he gained us in physicality.
Ade still not match fit but was having a good game. Defoe lost as lone striker today though. A shame we didn't go for two up front but I guess Dempsey offers us more in midfield. But bale and Lennon really didn't stretch the city defence so we could have gone 442. Indeed Bale really should have been giving Verotonghen more cover. 451 does look different though when Adebayor is the "1".

Anyway, a decent enough show on the road for our hardest fixture of the season. Sandro immense, Adebayor put a shift in and I didn't think Hudd did that badly. Despite what Neville said I thought we ran a pretty tight offside trap..... He was blaming city making poor runs rather than praising our back 4 for stepping up.

Bring on the derby, plenty of encouragement for me out there.

What is his position then?

He just isn't good enough for a dynamic passing team. The game passes him by completely and he looks lost with his big eyes

Clearly AVB sees something that most of us don't bu we have never been a side to defend a lead. You can't change that without changing the players completely and the mind set significantly

As for bringin in defensive subs all the time (every game I can remember he has taken off and attack minded player for a defender) he is clueless at the moment

I don't know what his position is. I thought at Fooolham he was more of a striker, not some sort of break-up-the-play against the mountain that is Yaya.

Go like for like. Caulker/Verts/Dawson is a solid back three. It solves the lack of left back and Bale/Lennon are fine wide.

Three at the back against city is fudging suicide when our left flank was getting constantly destroyed. Prob works in FM though

Said it repeatedly recently. AVB's issue, not just with us, but same at Chelsea - tactically struggles to hold a lead.

Still fully behind him.

Dempsey, what does he do?

Mr annonymous doesn't link, doesn't pull the channels, doesn't lead the line; absolutely apalling. Would have been better off having defoe in there, at least he tracks and works.

An embarrasment.

I didnt think we were too bad in the first half. We had a game plan and it worked. Yeah we lived on the edge a bit but against a team like City you are going to need a bit of luck.

2nd half was a completely different story for me you could see it coming from the off, they exploited spaces in our shape and we gave nothing back. I thought when City switched to 3 at the back it would actually suit us and give Lennon/Bale a chance to be more agressive down the flanks but we saw no wide play at all really which suprised me.

Also our passing today was atrocious, i dont think we had any time where we strung more than a few passes together before losing it. Players had the ball and it was like there was no option for them to play the ball too. No movement at all.

More often than not i'll expect a loss against City but i really expect us to go down fighting a bit more. Disappointing.

More what? Mislaid passes or slowing down counter-attacks? HE wears number 2 on his back and plays like a right back put into a forward position.

We played well, all things considered. Generally restricted City to pot-shots and easy saves for Friedel.

Towards the end, though, we tired, stopped pressing. And that proved fatal. I

In the end, it was an admirable effort, and I don't think anyone can be blamed for that. We'll get better as our boys come back. BAE will inject some pace into the LB spot, and Dembele will completely change the way we set up in midfield.

Onwards....and upwards.

Expected to lose that really. We need Dembele back and fast!

Another creative midfielder is a must in jan. bale and Lennon need the ball passed to them to create problems.

Walker and huddlestone have gone backwards as players. I hope they can get better especially walker

Dempsey!! Ahhhh just play Defoe there he can do that job better

Goons next week hopefully we can get Dembele back and get something out of it.

Frustrating to lose but we didn't deserve anything. Poor except Sandro

How do you counter it? Both our attacking midfielders have been written off and 442 is suicide against a midfield 5 of city's calibre. We haven't got the quality, they played high pressure and marked our wingers out the game.

You could go like for like we had the players to do that.

I don't know if AVB said it to him and he didn't listen but Bale needed to tuck in close to Verts who was getting murdered on his side.

What a load of brick, so we can't defend or string passes together and Huddlestone, I thought his saving grace was his pass but no, useless passing today. Fed up with Spurs, useless!!

You obviously don't understand holdup play if you're blaming the striker for having no options

You watch the game? I understand it fully and there was many a time he could have played the ball and didn't. Simple fact is he made the wrong choices.
