***OMT- Tottenham Hotspur vs Emirates Marketing Project*****

not once did lennon run at clichy nor bale at zabaleta. that annoyed me the most.. lennon used to brick on clichy at le arse :(

4231 CHANGES EVERYTHING.

4411 and bale and Lennon would perform better that sthe fudgein problem. arghhhhh

Lennon, Bale, Walker, Gallas and Dempsey were fudging brick. Adebayor held the ball up but mad the wrong decisions and apart from running round with the ball did fudge all. I understand hold up play but if nothing comes of it 9 times out of 10 there is no real point to it.

Didn't really compete all match. 10 months ago we gave a much better account of ourselves, I realise we have injuries missing Modric but we still have quality out there that just didn't turn up today. Right now I'm seriously beginning to wonder about AVB are his tactics poor or are the players not capable of following the detail. We can't just change the team overnight so AVB needs to adjust better for the players we do have.

The only player that can hold his heads up today is Sandro.

That really was not as bad as some on here are making out. We're playing a full-strength City with half a squad. Its hard for us with Dembele, Parker, Ekotto and Kaboul out, some of the most consistent performers from the last few years plus our best creative drive in midfield.

When I saw Silva back in the City line-up I thought we'd have problems. The problem was that in the 2nd half they got a break and after that their tails were up. That's one of the hardest league games they've had at home and I think instead of slating the players and AVB i think we should just say that we put a great shift in but in the end City had more quality and wore us down well in the 2nd half.

Its not the result that people are annoyed about. Its the manner. We go one up and have a great change to get a result however since they went 3-5-2 after about 55 mins we've been completely over-run and not tried to counteract it

How do you counter it? Both our attacking midfielders have been written off and 442 is suicide against a midfield 5 of city's calibre. We haven't got the quality, they played high pressure and marked our wingers out the game.

Well given AVB is meant to be good on tactics, I thought tactically that was crap. He could have least evened up the numbers in midfeld and taken off some tired legs -like Hudd, or Dempsey. He could have gone like for like with Verts/Caulker/Dawson at the back. But instead he let them win a game we could won or at least drawn.

Code:
He has been fairly brick in open play (apart from two winning tap-ins) but methinks he's been playing out of position.

What is his position then?

He just isn't good enough for a dynamic passing team. The game passes him by completely and he looks lost with his big eyes

Clearly AVB sees something that most of us don't bu we have never been a side to defend a lead. You can't change that without changing the players completely and the mind set significantly

As for bringin in defensive subs all the time (every game I can remember he has taken off and attack minded player for a defender) he is clueless at the moment

Thats the shocking thing for me since AVB has come in, his tactics which we were led to believe were his strong point. HOW THE HELL he didnt see we were getting over run in midfield after City switched to 3-5-2 is frighting.

I want AVB to succeed but I cant see it at the moment

Go like for like. Caulker/Verts/Dawson is a solid back three. It solves the lack of left back and Bale/Lennon are fine wide.

You obviously don't understand holdup play if you're blaming the striker for having no options

I think we are fast becoming a team of 'nearly men.' Nearly score, nearly make the clearance, nearly get the tackle in. It is tinkling ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

What else is clear, is that we have no on field leaders, By that I mean those who set the example when things get tight. Also, we cannot expect to win, when there are players on the pitch, who cannot hold on to possession. Just how much cheap ball did we give those Manc ****s? How much did they give us? Barely a sniff. looking forward to when we score a winner in the last two minutes of a match.
