Those 2 Marmoush chances really should be goals, he didn’t hit the target with either but they were the best chances of the game outside of the handball goal.

I'm worried. In 3 games we've basically had one good chance, and to be honest, Marmoush should have really put it away today!
But ONE good chance in 3 games is horrendous! And there are absolutely NO excuses! No matter what team we put out, one should expect the team to produce SOME sort of opportunities. It's really worrying!

Marmoush had 2 today. V Saudi Sportswashing Machine there was the Porro chance which he should have scored and Marmoush again quite late in the game should have scored also.
It’s not great but there’s been more than 1 great chance created.
Without even thinking about our chances over the 3 game athere was this Porro one against Saudi Sportswashing Machine. And I'm pretty sure it wasn't the only one:

He had a poor decision where he needed to square the ball to Kudus who was free in the box for what would've been an 8 yard 'tap in' (on paper at any rate)...
Unrelated to this point, Solanke has to do better with his header IMO, and Tel also continues to frustrate with his decision-making.

To be fair you're speaking very consistently with what our manager is saying about our final third play. The reason I say this is that we had this situation with Frank last year and he would never talk straight. We had the opposite problem with Ange with our defence and he just ignored the questions and went off on other narratives.

One, two or three isn't the point! It's fudging pathetic regardless!! We have a squad full of proven PL players, a supposedly World class manager, and we've produced virtually the square root of feck all in 3 games! That's just shocking, no matter how many excuses you can come up with!

Much better second half today, it felt like we were all over them at times. This match was better than last week and way better than week one. Improvements are happening.
I'm not sure why he waited so long for Solanke and Fernandes or to remove Tel who was dreadful again. But De Zerbi is also trying to build fitness with everyone so maybe he has a plan.
Either way, I'm more positive after today than after last week.

The way to think about things is imagining that exact same game but we won or lost. If Marmoush had buried that chance and we come out of Notts with 3 points then we've turned a massive corner and it would be onwards and upwards from here. If we had lost to the Williams goal, we'd be bemoaning VAR again and ruthless tearing into our manager and team. In reality, despite the few real chances in the game, we could have seen all 3 results today. I think we got a slightly losing draw to be fair but didn't deserve to lose outright either.
I'd rather focus on some great box defending from our centre halves and Bents in key situations. Our 25/26 season challenge of leaving too much space outside the box wasn't mentioned once. We saw some fantastic blocks and this seems tb being addressed by RDZ.
We also saw 2 reasonably big phases of the game where we dictated and dominated the game. That was balanced with having our backs to the wall at times as well. I counted 3 "best eleven" starting in that game. We at least had 7 or 8 today.
Against Brentford, we were way off it. I mean, in every physical encounter. Today, we weren't quite on it as much as Forest but we were so much further along with our physicality and intensity.
It's progress for me.

I actually watched a lot of him at Emirates Marketing Project because as i've said I was already a fan. His best performances for City were on the left and at least 4 of his assists came when playing on that side and all 3 of the goals he scored that season were again when he played on the left. Pro rata or per minute his assist and goal scoring stats for City are way better when he was on the left.
If our plan is to play him predominantly on the right we shouldn't have bothered buying him. There are better options out there for the right and at £75m especially so. I hope and do believe this temporary whilst we wait for Kudus to get back up to speed, otherwise its a very questionable purchase.
