They like busy work. Why have technique when you can run around a lot to no avail?

At no point. In his time here has he been good enough but the litany of excuses and allowances are numerous. I get the idea that you want to support your players and even a degree of myopicness when it comes to evaluating your own players but jeez, he's been brick for the vast majority of his time here no point lying about it. Got him from a relegation battle and now...we are relegation battlers.

Yet he is our top scorer this season, in a team that has been poor.

The issue isn't richarlison. He is our best striker. He didn't sign himself for us, we signed him.

A lot of the strikers ahead of him get a lot more chances created than we do. He isn't going to score with 75% of his chances. According to StatMuse his a chance to goal conversion is 17.9%.... Haaland is 19%. Let's get the striker more chances in the box.

Our forwards as a whole are brick. The best scorer of a bad bunch is still a bad bunch.

I agree we don't create much, but having a striker who is totally reliant on service is a backwards step. A quality forward is someone you can give the ball to under some modicum of pressure and reasonable expectations them not to lose it immediately. Then add that, that very same striker is not even a reliable finisher or controller of the ball it's a massive problem.

A good amount of why we struggle to create is because our use and possession of the ball in the final third is soooo poor and Richy is a massive part of that. The man man simply cannot control a ball with any consistency nor can he link play or keep attacking plays moving. He actively contributes to our poor use of the ball in the final third, then add we get nothing from the right and basically nothing from the left then yes the lack of chances creation makes sense, but a striker who cannot create for themselves or shift the ball to get a shot off or who has such poor technique is a problem a big problem as we see week after week and at this point year after year.

I'm not interested in settling for mediocrity.

Liverpool. Their fans hate playing against him

He fights. He will continue to fight. Right now we need that and have no one else. So until he leaves us he will have my 100% support. I actually think he’s playing through injury right now.

As a club who was the last striker of quality we signed that was a success? Defoe returning? Adebayor? Kane coming through the ranks and developing into the best no.9 in world football stopped us spaffing £50m every summer on a new flop
