These jokers…

I’m equally perplexed and annoyed as you that we’re taking so long. But it’s almost like you’ve forgotten we dithered in the past when it comes to managerial searches with Levy in charge. How many managers did we look at before eventually bringing in Nuno who ultimately flopped anyway? Ange wasn’t our first choice before we approached and subsequently appointed him.

I totally get the criticism at the current regime but some are acting like it was wildly different under Levy like we were always this well-run outfit that never dragged its feet in hiring managers, sacking them, signing players etc. it’s actually incredible how much leeway he got from people on here 😂
Under Levy we went from a club where seasons like this were not all that rare, to a club with such high expectations that we all immediately want a manager sacked for producing a season like this.

People really do have some very short memories (or didn't live through the horrors of mid-late 90s Spurs).

And you seem to have a short memory of the last decade. The overall trend has been down since circa 2019. That can’t be disputed.

Should Levy get an indefinite reign because he did a good job in the first 10-15 years of his tenure?

We also don’t have a winning mentality as a club, that comes from the owners and the chairman. They were happy to accept top 4 every season rather than push on to regularly compete for major honours. Almost every manager we have employed since Poch has questioned the mentality of the club.

I also question his decision making at key moments, sacking managers before cup finals, the arduous managerial searches.

If he were to come back on a purely commercial aspect with no involvement in the football side then I would be open to that. But actually running the club again and being the key decision maker in terms of football decisions? No thanks.

Employees sacked by club in slagging off the club shocker.

You seem to be of the opinion that Levy should have got every decision right. The constant warning from those of us who understand that's not possible, was that the alternative is almost certainly worse. There are thousands and thousands of football clubs, thousands and thousands of owners. There are so few being consistently run better than Spurs that you can count them on your fingers.

We did take that chance, and now it's worse.

If Levy can get things wrong and get no criticism then so can the managers he employed and then subsequently sacked. Were they supposed to get every decision right?

But the complaint is the same every time. That we don’t act like a big club. Poch even said whilst he was still employed by us.

It would be pointless to debate each and every decision he made as we would be sure to disagree. I don’t expect every decision to be correct just as I don’t expect every transfer to be a success. But what can’t be argued is the team has definitely gone backwards since 2019 with just 1 top four finish which the club covets above everything else. Interesting that you didn’t answer my question when I asked should Levy be allowed to continue indefinitely.

Once again, we were 17th last season with Levy still here. We’re in an almost identical position points wise and in the league table. It’s not like we’ve fallen from 4th to 15th. We haven’t been a top 4 regular since 6 managers ago.

One final point, I find it amusing that so many Levy supporters were at pains to accuse his detractors of being impatient despite being in charge for more than 20 years, but his successor gets less than 6 months and there’s already cries for Levy to come back 😂

If the choice is between Levy and people that have never had anything to do with running a football club before (current owners) then it should be Levy every time.

If there's a unicorn out there that has a few £Bn to spaff on transfers who never makes a mistake and has lawyers good enough to get around FFPx then let's go get him.

It's bonkers mate, 10 years of stagnation presided over by one man. That man has now been replaced and they want the new regime to have fixed everything that their guy set up within 3 months. 🤣🤣🤣

That’s exactly what happened as from what I heard. A month ago the board were split in discussions but the owners wanted him out but eventually bent over after another round of talks. This time no one could find any argument for keeping Frank. It’s actually West Ham’s revival that got them worried.
I heard the same, that Paratici wanted Frank gone in December but Vinai sided with Lange, who of course backed his mate.
Paratici gave an ultimatum that it was either him or Lange and we backed the wrong horse.

The jury is out still on Vinai, for me at least but the quicker we get rid of Lange the better.
He can't seem to build a squad and has all the personality of a potato.

Why? What would new owners offer us?

We just need the children of the current owner to butt the fudge out of club business
The need to get some proper football people in first because I'm not at all convinced on Vinai and Lange.

brick, if the kids hadn't butted in we'd have ended up getting relegated with Frank because Lange wasn't going to fire him and for some reason, Vinai backed Lange
