As lovely as this all sounds this is just the new version of 'Always wanted to play for this club' that gets trotted out when a player signs. It is nothing new, there were several references to players Conte signed about how the player spoke to him before joining.

Yes Ange is a great guy, and the way he sees the game being played is going to be an attraction. But this constant fawning over every time a signing mentions talking to Ange beforehand gets a bit cringeworthy, its been said plenty of times before with previous less popular managers but of course people don't want to make a song and dance about it then....

The Spurs app is doing my head in. Waiting for confirmation on this one and my eyes light up with each notification. But lo and behold, all I'm getting today is "Timo takes his first brick at Hotspur Way", "Look at what Timo had for lunch" and other such trivialities.

Does he have to be registered today to be eligible for utd? Or is it 12:00 tomorrow?

Awww that took you a while petal, especially considering you're reusing the same material. It's nice that my post played on your mind as much as Tuchel's sex life evidently does.

And the award for most patronising post 2024 goes to.....

You're throwing around woke gen z terminology to a bunch of footy fans who via the interweb have known each other long enough to feel comfortable we don't have any raging XXXphobes in our midst. We do have a tamed sociopath called Gutterboy, but that aside we're an easy going bunch of Tottenham supporters.

How about dialling it back a touch?

Do not hold your breath waiting for that.

Was your plan to extend the irrelevant conversation by wading in?

I'd actually suggested we move on but as ever, Scara took the opportunity to continue to make an arse of himself. I'd be glad to explore the subjects mentioned in an off topic thread including what you define as woke gen z terminology but it might have made sense to just let this one run it's course. I haven't suggested that Scara is any kind of xxxphobe on this thread but perhaps just isn't very sex positive in this instance.

If you're Scara's guardian I'm very sorry if I hurt his feelings pal, he's such a sensitive soul, renowned for how caring he is. If you track it back it wasn't me who dragged the thread off topic, it's probably best to keep it to the CB at hand.

Bit of a weird dig at Gutterboy in your post as well, maybe it's an in joke I'm not familiar with so apologies if so but it seems a lil harsh, I barely agree with anything GB posts on football matters but it's good to have opposing points of views on things imo. Edit - I missed the word tamed so my bad, I think I misread the intentions of that part of your post!

Jesus man, you're down on this one. From we won't get him to he might not be the right player to his agent will sell him on.

I had thought I was the king of thinking "it'll go wrong" - you may be taking my crown.
I'm not sure where you got that I said we won't get him. And I said he may not be the right player if he doesn't want to come to us wholeheartedly. But yeah, his agent is a clam and it's not going to bode well if he continues talking as much as he does. I have never heard an agent talk so much about a transfer and that can't be a good thing.

His agents job was to drive up interest for the player and get him a move. He did his job.

From spurs perspective he's a taco. But from the players perspective and also genoa he did a good job. At the end of the day he doesn't work for spurs.

Also it is an assumption that he put pressure on radu to sign for byern, based on nothing. We don't know what conversations they had. At the end of the day he signed for us.
At the end of the day he did sign for us, but his agent is unwanted baggage. Keep an eye on this one.

Why are the media team using so much time making videos? Didnt his agent fck that up?? Just go out and say: what his agent said… he has signed! Welcome

I think it's different and more genuine with this one. Just contrast how he speaks to how other managers speak and then take that to a conversation with a player. I'm sure the players that talk to him also see the difference between him and other managers they have spoken to.
