Radu Dragusin

So in other words, i tried my hardest to convince him to take the money now and not go to an up and coming young team in the best league in the world where he will develop into a top player. I am a bit disappointed he chose whats best for his career over lining my pockets with a big pay day.
Biggest ever transfer of a Romanian player and the agent had to settle for his client going to a club that was offering less money.
Guess he was doing his job, but not a good look from our partisan perspective.

Why? The agent has made radu massively popular with spurs fans. He's turned down bigger money from byern because he is true to his word blah blah blah...

He's done a great job.

I guess I'm adding to it here but this thread is funny. Moaning about agents, moaning about exaggerated imagined fans who will apparently moan that we've not done enough and moaning at the chairman during another window where we're being decisive. And now me, moaning about people moaning, it gets worse by the minute!

There'd be moaning about the player too if many of us had seen him play, but at least @IulianSteaua has confirmed he makes no mistakes without any weakness, no pressure there then....

I watched Drăgușin play for club and country and his mai attributes are that he doesn't make mistakes and doesn't have any weaknesses. He is solid throughout the board, which is not easy at 21.

Nice, thanks for that! How does he come across as a person? Down to earth guy?

Seen some other strange comments from the agent might just not be translated well. Although do wonder if the agent is annoyed as might have got better commission from Bayern.

He won't be doing badly out of this whichever way it goes. He's a roostering agent.

Lovely news to read as I enjoy breakfast. And still three weeks left in the transfer window to do more.

I'm thinking Bayern maybe were a bit arrogant in assuming that their reputation would automatically swing the deal their way.

I think we would be tinkled off if a player chose Bilbao or AZ Alkmaar over us.

you do remember him when he was our all action holding midfielder right? Just because he's fallen out of favour doesn't make him brick.

That was some time ago before the great centre back pipe dream. Do you really think he’s at that level still?

An agent like that that doesn't shut up is not good, even if in this case the byproduct might have been that he endeared Radu to Spurs fans a bit more (and tbh, it didn't change any of my feelings towards him, but I might be in the minority). His agent appears to be displeased with the deal and may end up pressuring Radu for a move after a year or two. He's a young kid and, although he may not have been influenced this time, there's no knowing if he will be in the future. The last thing we need is the type of agent that is constantly in a player's ear - or even worse, the media - to agitate moves just to line his own pockets.

Jesus man, you're down on this one. From we won't get him to he might not be the right player to his agent will sell him on.

I had thought I was the king of thinking "it'll go wrong" - you may be taking my crown.

His agents job was to drive up interest for the player and get him a move. He did his job.

From spurs perspective he's a taco. But from the players perspective and also genoa he did a good job. At the end of the day he doesn't work for spurs.

Also it is an assumption that he put pressure on radu to sign for byern, based on nothing. We don't know what conversations they had. At the end of the day he signed for us.

Again, he didn't ask that question. We were talking about Tuchel as a manager not his personal life, you might label someone's sexual proclivities as a "bad thing" but that's absolutely a you problem that you should probably put some thought in to but I know you won't. Bullet mentioned bad things being said about him by the players, so it is absolutely kink shaming that you've labeled this rumour a bad thing, you can say it isn't kink shaming and that just demonstrates that you don't understand what the term means.

Your fixation with this is some real high school brick but I'm happy to stop talking about it (until the next time you bring it up on here of course, but it seems like you should talk to a professional about it rather than bringing it up on a football forum).

It's a hell of a tangent for this thread but to be clear I didn't bring it up, hopefully we can get an announcement for Dragusin and talk about that instead.

Buzz would like to know if you ever get tired of riding around on the neo-puritan high horse and have a smile sometimes.

He actually seems to have advised, consulted with and implemented the decision of his client, rather than try and force him down a path that served his own interests better.

He might sound a bit excitable, but he seems to have played things with a reasonably straight bat.
