Son Heung-Min

And now Sonny is up to #30 alongside Benty in the PL Scorers chart on 106. He is not going to challenge Shearer, Kane or Rooney but not too shabby.

Also starting to make inroads in catching Cliff Jones in the Spurs All-Time Goals List

Such a difference having CF who knows how and when to move
So nice to see he hasn’t lost his pace either
I still think Richy as a battering ram and sonny as the finesse could work but son has the shirt as CF now vs Sheffield United surely

Role was different, Son played deeper, Richi has been playing on the shoulder of the opposition cb's.

I don't think anyone would argue that Son isn't better than Richi, but the latter sadly hasn't had the high xG chances which Son put away yesterday.

Kane probably would have scored 10 yesterday.

Only salah and sterling in the top 30 other than son who are active still. Lukaku is never coming back to prem and then there's Kane, but it's amazing how heavy scoring forwards are dropping off. Realistically Haaland and possibly ferguson are the only two who are going to be able to make a dent in that number.

Just shows how valuable havi g a 20 goal a season forward is.

Son moves more
He wasn’t playing deep
He just moved off his man
Richy actually goes to the CBS and try’s to get physical with them more
Very different players

He was great yesterday and i think he is a much better player when he is not stuck out wide were he has been before yesterdays game, said it earlier IF Richarlson is going to play he should do so from the left rather then through the middle where i believe he will also look better.

Watched the highlights yesterday, I feel like not enough has been made of Son's first finish, it was a beautiful dink and it's wonderful to see him looking like his usual self after an appalling season by his standards for whatever reason.

Possibly helped by Burnley being naive and leaving it two on two at the back at times but you've still got to exploit the opportunities. Even as someone who has been banging the drum for Richy in the hope it'll work out, Son in the middle makes perfect sense for games where teams will push up and there's no doubting he's a more natural finisher.

Going by a somewhat tricky (slow) start our front 3 were suffering, it's a positive that all of them have found the net in the last week of games.

Unreal finish, far from easy as was claimed somewhere on here haha.

Absolutely class

It was filthy .. and considering all the confidence comments, not only his first goal for match, his first goal for season, playing through middle, knowing he was carrying the line, says a lot.

Could really do with a good Son 10 game run where he smashes everything in ..

"Levy failed negotiations"? Of course, I'm relying on the subtitles but they say the opposite. Leverkusen "didn't trust him" and he couldn't understand why they'd be so reluctant to sell to Spurs if they weren't going to play him.
To be fair, it's a reasonable headline. "Negotiations failed three times" is probably a better one, but you can't argue that (1) the talks failed, and (2) they were Levy's talks. As you say, Daddy Son's gripe is with the Bayer hierarchy at not playing his son.

It is also a lot more difficult now for young English players to get the games they need to make any headway at all.

Owen, Shearer, Rooney, Fowler, Lampard, Defoe etc etc all first team players in their teens so had lots of games to score their goals in.

It’s very impressive guys like Salah and Son can come here and score that many.

Just noticed SK are playing Saudi Arabia at 5:30 at Sid James Park.

Very very odd.

S.Korea have barely won a game since Klinsmann took over. Think he could be sacked if they don't improve tonight.

Was a strange appointment, Apparently they are not impressed that he has been mostly calling it in via Zoom from California!
