I was talking generically and about the hypocrisy of views more than Conte being wrong about Spence, time will tell though on that.

You can certainly judge all managers and call what's wrong though regardless of them being PL managers and us not

Probably based on the performances he has put in at Rennes. Whereas before it was pure conjecture, as he did not play at all, at least now we have something tangible to assess his level. A small sample size, granted, but if Spence continues to put in good displays through the end of the season, I'm pretty sure a lot of people would be questioning why we bought Porro, instead of giving Djed a chance. Even if Porro matches his performances at Spurs with Spence's at Rennes.

Im happy for Spence to be at Rennes and the development be on their watch, my point on this was more to the point in that we sent a player that needed development and purchased one for 50m odd that needed development and the two are viewed differently, in part on the fact the one has come in for bigger money (fans are obsessed with fees) and with that it plays on the whole rhetoric that you are therefore backing Conte who needs to be backed because he is a winner. He is a winner BTW before someone jumps in haha but I am just purely pointing on the whole thing thats perceptions and how things are viewed differently even by the same people

Ok. Conte sent perisic on loan to byern to learn the role he wanted. Byern won the league (obviously) but also the cl. When he came back inter won serie a. Perisic being named in the team of the year.

Now was conte wrong or right to loan him?

I don't know. But it worked out. Is spence being loaned out right or wrong? I don't know either.

It would depend on why he is getting loaned out. If it is to learn the role, then it is right for him to get loaned out. If it is because he simply isn't in Conte's plans, given he is putting in good performances many would say it is wrong and he should be getting more chances with Spurs.

And like most of us fans we can speculate till the cows come home but we will never know what will happen.:)
 
said this in the OMT, Porro might turn out quality, who knows, but another brick level performance yesterday. I can handle that, he's acclimatising sure, but please don't tell me Spence wasn't capable of putting an at least an equal performance in both the games he played, as he couldn't have played any worse.

Can't help we've spunked 40M needlessly. As i said, Spence may turn out rubbish and Porro amazing, but Porro been given more game time than Spence ever got so maybe we will never know.

Well at least Porro signing has turned Royale into a 40m player anyway:D….
 
The only way Spence would have had a chance under Conte is if both Doherty and Royale were out injured.

Conte kept saying Moura or Kulusevski could play there. Kulusevski has been used there late in some games.

He still wouldn't get a game
 
Glad he looks to be doing well still. Judging by yhe clips he certainly isn't lacking confidence
