***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur vs. Saudi Sportswashing Machine***

Well,
With an unexpectedly warm fall weekend upon us, I gave over today to my wife's wishes to sand and paint part of the front porch and re-finish and stain an area of hardwood floors. Worked hard, worked quickly, job done. Turn on the game at halftime to a chorus of boos as the players leave.

Now that I've read in on comments here, perhaps a good time to take a walk.

Well, as they say in golf, there's a good walk spoiled.

Sign of a bad team when you can’t even build any pressure in the last 15 mins when losing at home. Ball barely went in the box.

Problem with this style is as soon as the results turn you will get zero patience from fans and the media will be all over it.

We can't give away two goals and come back from it against good sides, especially when we are so, so, so limited on the ball.

We are carrying cloggers like Sanchez and Dier whenever we play them. We need the few 'leaders' on the field to step up in their stead, because they are without talent.

And today, our 'leader' Lloris let us down, and we couldn't recover. We toiled second half, but truth be told we never, ever threatened.

Sick of some of this spineless lot - I expect us to lose away given the mentality of these spineless losers, but losing at home like this is unexpected, and worse in many ways.

We have 7 quality players. 4 with Kulu, Hogjberg and Romero out. Too many decent but not yet good enough 'squad' players making up the rest. That is the truth of it.

Dier and Lloris didn't have their best day and cost us.

I think we have 5 top level players (Romero, Bentacur, Kulu, Son and Kane). Lots of decent players amongst the rest but none of them are outstanding (Perisic closest to it).

I've always said I could probably live with a season on Mourinho-ball, or now Conte-ball, IF, it brings us a trophy of sorts. But with City's riches and our fear of Chelsea and semi-finals I dont see where we can win that trophy.
I doubt I am not alone in saying we cant keep watching this style of football if it is not going to bear fruits

Allowing the opposition to waste time by giving away pointless free kicks is one of my biggest frustrations in football , and we seem to do it often.
