Only one sub so far. That's a lot of players with 105+ minutes in their legs. Even Benrahma played almost the full 90. Still can't shake the feeling that we won't be able to take advantage of this. They'll just camp inside their own penalty area and wait for a set piece opportunity late on.
No i'm saying that our fans should try and help the team win rather than bitch and moan.
They'll certainly sit back rather than press. If ever us getting an early was valuable, it'd be Sunday

Interesting. You’re point being that it doesn’t matter which team we support, we should just be happy to be at whichever position we find ourselves in? Whether our team is Spurs / West Ham / Colchester Utd / Sutton Utd. Just pure adulation + worship from the stands that is unrelated to the game being played out in front of our eyes.
Just trying to understand if your “be positive regardless of evidence” attitude extends to all teams or just ours.

I support spurs because i was born in north london and my father supported spurs. I was born in 78 so can't remember the burkinshaw team. So mid 80's early 90's we were good. Then we had mediocre years. Till the last decade.
I could have chose to support utd, liverpool or someone else. But spurs are my team. They will be till the day i die, no matter how bad we could get.
We're 7th in the league. So there are 85 teams in the professional leagues worse than us. I could have been born in preston or wherever and supported one of them. So yes i'm positive. I support one of the best teams in the country.

I admire you being positive about things, sincerely, much like thsteff, I’d rather be that way! It just seems odd for it not to be acceptable to acknowledge what’s happening on the pitch ie the reality of things.
It’s an oversimplification of your views but trying to make out the fans are at fault seems way off - “Maybe we wouldn’t have got knocked out by Middlesbrough, if only we had cheered some more!!!!!!!”.
The result on Sunday won’t be determined by whether Colin, Steve and Dave have had their chakras aligned and done their yoga on Saturday but I understand how oblivious positivity can make one feel better about everything.
Never said the fans are at fault. Just saying giving a positive atmosphere can help the team. Hinder the opposition and influence decisions. It's nothing new. Home advantage has always been a thing. If the crowd get behind the team.

With all due respect that’s an easy way out of a good discussion, especially after answering an imagined question of why you’re a Spurs fan rather than addressing the points i’ve actually made.
At least as i’ve read it. the fault on Spurs fans for being negative is strongly implied, as if we haven’t had enough experiences of the hope being what kills us in the end. Did you think we looked competitive coming in to this season? If you’d raised your doubts, would it have helped being shouted down by a chorus of “just be positive!!”. It renders it irrelevant which club you support in that case, everyone should be positive about their club all the time on the off chance it may help them so it’s a sin to be anything other than that (ref. Everything is awesome - Lego Movie)
The “If” in your last line, again is implying that our fanbase that has been present through thick and thin are at fault, and if all those who had paid the view from halfway downis everyone dead.If all our fans paying for tickets had put all their heart and soul in to cheering on our team then things may have been different. That’s more insulting than the kneejerk reactions of the people who rant and rave on glory glory after a bad loss imo.
